Re: [LPFM] Simple, low cost automation system

Hi Dave

> what does one get for 39 dollars

The Creator package includes "Creator", a track scheduler / station format designer which generates playlists.  Also included is a playlist scheduler utility which loads the playlists into Winamp (recommended), or most other free players, every hour, so the playlist stays on time.

Creator Lite supports up to 4 music categories and 4 spot groups, which is often adequate for a basic/budget automation system.  Using multiple music categories, you can choose what types of music will play next to each other, and what types of music will play at different times of the day.  Spots, such as jingles and stations ID's can be scheduled between music categories.  A station ID can be scheduled for the top of the hour, for example.

Creator supports song and artist separation, track logging for APRA etc, and spot logging for advertisement billing.

When using Winamp with the Scheduler utility, an option exists to truncate the current track playing and start the next hour at precisely the top of the hour.  Or you can set it to wait until the current track finishes before starting the next hour, depending on your requirements.  I suggest using the SQRSoft crossfader plugin with Winamp.

You can also generate playlists to be used in other broadcasting software, such as DRS2006.

Our Studio software is used instead of a simple player and provides DJ live assistance and advanced automation features.

Cheers,

Ross.
