I have tuned in, and contributed to, the
announcement and talkback on Wellington Access Radio. Yes, an increase in LPFM
power, but no mention by Cunliffe of what the new level will be. I expect to
receive the hard copy shortly.

So the Govt. has just announced an increase, sorry modest
increase in the lpfm power output. I missed just how modest. Does anyone know
or heard it on the radio.
Well, so far there's this, which tells us five-eighths of f - all regarding LPFM. http://www.rsm.govt.nz/spp/vhf-fm/media/minister-20061003.html Phil Grey ...

this is more useful - http://www.rsm.govt.nz/spp/vhf-fm/cab-minute-20060726/index.html and in particular Low Power FM Broadcasting (LPFM) 1.. 10. noted that...
I think it's reasonable to ask just waht those "wider considerations of equity and competition with existing broadcasters" actually are. I've written to MED to...
So commercial radio got what it wanted (which is a new regulation they can use to strangle us with) and the minister got to say he gave us a 'modest' increase...

You got a doubling of your power levels Whilst the net amount is still low, a 3dB increase is still a 3dB increase, and it is still a doubling of your power. ...
Sadly, Jochen, a 3 dB increase in our remote rural area gives us diddly squat. It's the difference between a slice of bread and a currant bun. I fail to...
A measly 1 watt. Well better than nothing I suppose. But I'm concerned about the transmitter height. Do they mean antenna height above the ground where the...
I too am concearned about the height. Without our current height our signal would be gobbled up by the neighbours. I don't think a doubling of power would make...
Hi group, I support height restriction for LPFM. Many LPFMers who are fortunate to either live on the side of a hill overlooking some of their broadcast area,...
We are a good example of that. We've gone through an awful amount of trial and error (and money) to find a good site but it is basically a tall building...
I wish we here in the United States had a regulatory government concerning radio broadcasting that wasn't in the pocket of the big boradcasters. We have LPFM...
I've stated the facts out of the cabinet minutes. Transmitter height is not stated. Whether LPFM stops at 88.4 or commercial starts at 88.4 is yet to be ...
Hello Philip To expand on your analogy, it is the equivalent of 'slice of bread and a currant bun' - being issued by a food bank. These frequencies are...
I think we see this issue differently, and I suspect we will not agree about it. I think radio spectrum is there, government or not, and that as citizens we...
