The Flea in Auckland broadcasts from Mt Victoria in Devonport. The
studio is located 2.5km away in Bayswater. The challenge we have is to
provide an economical link from Studio to Transmitter. We have tried a
30mw microwave link in the 2.4Ghz range without success.
Has anybody else found a solution to this and if so how was it done/
I am after some advice and help. The Flea in Auckland broadcasts from Mt Victoria in Devonport. The studio is located 2.5km away in Bayswater. The challenge we...

2.4 will go a long way using gris pack aerials. You can get 200mW units. They will go many times further than 2.5km. Not really legal though Keith ... From:...

Unless Acres electronics has new models, the A/V senders use FM modulation for video with 2 subcarriers for the 2 audio channels. They are not digital. There...

Hey Keith, Yep, I realise their TX's are analogue. I am surprised though that digital is just as cheap these days as some affordable 2.4GHz analogue gear for...

Microwave ovens use 2.4Ghz which is why it is a free spectrum area as commercial use is not reliable. ...
And I should add that frequency drift on microwave ovens is common. They don't have frequency locking like most transmitters. ... From: Ross Levis To:...
Many thanks for all of the coments. Ross, I agree about the interference on 2.4Ghz. Even with the directional Parabolic Aerial I was getting a lot of...
Yes microwave ovens do use 2.4gHz, along with an amateur radio band, AV senders. phones, etc, etc, however they do use different portions of the band. Those...

1000mW for the 925 Megs stuff. BTW, just on another side note for the 2.4GHz stuff. Analogue's restricted to 1000mW aswell. Digital is allowed 4000mW. You...
