Re:STL Link

Hi John
We are setting up a link for our station using 150mW
tx from www.acreselectronics.co.nz They are down here
at Oamaru and can supply Tx Rx and antenna, Have
discussed the proposal with the RI and it seem OK.
Was going to use gardband talk through repeater but
found a 25Watt courier link at the same site as our
receiver so 2.4G looks like our best option for less
then $1k.

2.4 will go a long way using gris pack aerials. You can get 200mW units. They will go many times further than 2.5km. Not really legal though Keith ... From:...

Unless Acres electronics has new models, the A/V senders use FM modulation for video with 2 subcarriers for the 2 audio channels. They are not digital. There...

Hey Keith, Yep, I realise their TX's are analogue. I am surprised though that digital is just as cheap these days as some affordable 2.4GHz analogue gear for...

Yes microwave ovens do use 2.4gHz, along with an amateur radio band, AV senders. phones, etc, etc, however they do use different portions of the band. Those...
