Hello all-
In the last executive meeting, our first at the Auckland VHF group club rooms,
the possiblity was raised by a couple of members of meeting at a church,
apparently to reduce costs.
I would like to bring this topic up for discussion in the wider LPFM society.
I am against having any association with, or the appearance of an association
with, any group or organisation that defines itself by religious, cultural or
philisophical basis, and certainly not any organisation with a history of
causing trouble and commiting acts of evil in the world like the church has.
What we have is the best solution, we associate with a non-partisen and
complimentary club like the Auckland VHF group. If a couple of people feel
that is out of the way, well so be it. It will always be out of the way for
somebody. It is close to central and has ample parking.
Meeting at Peter's place in Te Atatu South suited me just fine, but in the
interests in the wider society, I helped arrange use of the Auckland VHF club
rooms, which are a 25+ minute drive away for me.
I think we have the best situation we could wish for at present and it should
not be altered.
Michael.
