what makes you
think you speak for what LPFM operators want? Some of us like the idea of LPFM
because it adds diversity in a radio landscape that almost totally lacks it.
Spouting off racist epithets hardly seems to fit into my understanding of LPFM
licensing which peripherally suggests that the community forms mechanisms and
procedures to deal with conflicts on thier own - not start wars over the fence
by calling people racist names. There's people out there mate who don't like
the idea of the GURL / LPFM much and they'll use this type of rubbish as just
more fodder in their cannon for removing your privilege all-together to
broadcast on LPFM, start charging you a yearly fee to be more closely monitored
by them, or basically just poke thier govt regulatory noses into your wee west
auckland rock station.
One thing I do agree with is that yes, you should go deal with it rather than
just move frequencies (i'd probably suggest that dealing with it doesn't
include calling them an offensive racist name .. .but that's up to you.) There
must be someone in your community who knows something about the who, what, and
where of this broadcast, someone who could listen in for a station ID or
something. At the least he needs to know that he's broadcasting over the top of
you and then you go from there.
Grant,
Comments? Plural? you find this offensive?, go get real!!, this PC bullshit has
turned a people that used call a spade a spade into a weak nation of do
gooders.
This import is ruining the running of a station, dont forget that grant, he
needs dealing to and in quick fashion, if he were a upstanding sort he would
not be conducting himself in that way, hence he deserves no favours from us.
He is what he is, i find this whole idea of PC offensive to me and its well
passed time that kiwis took back what is rightfully theirs , and if this
involves and includes taking from the hip then so be it.
So get off your high horse Grant and tackle the problem rather than hanging
those, that are at least willing to be open, by offering some advice to the
problem in hand.
If you had a problem with the guy next door you once apon a time just wondered
over to sort it face to face and the problem disolved, using this PC crap has
made that impossible and has degraded our society to the point where if you
even think non-PC you are at fault, to hell with that!!!!!!!
I, for one, find your comments offensive. I'm sure others will agree that
comments like below ruin the good nature of this list.
