Indeed the legal limit is 20 km/h but in most cases it's just not
practical - just like the 30 km/h speed limit around road works on a
Sunday when no one's there working.
On my way to work (a 10 minute journey from door to door) I often pass
several parked school buses - sometimes up to 4 (two at each of two
different schools). It's well after the school bell and no children
are around. I know I should be doing 20 km/hr not 50, but if I did 20
I'd not only hold up traffic but get tooted at and possibly even
overtaken.
Other than when kids are swarming the footpath and/or attempting to
cross the road, does anyone here actually do 20 km/hr past a school bus?
