Hi Team... This is not new as I had an allocation in our area for 2
licences with the same parameters both geographically in the same province
but physically removed from the adjacent channel by about 50 or so
kilometers... The case in point being: I was issued 94.4 at Oban on
Stewart Island, and Radio Pacific was on 94.0 from Mt Hedgehope and the next
adjacent channel was on 94.8 at a telecom site in Gore... (see the reter
for exact details) I'd be most interested in the implications too, where a
channel is moved into an existing band plan where geogaphically the distance
between two stations 400 kHz is less than say 20 km's. I imagine there are
some restrictions regarding antenna direction, EIRP, and potential
interference unless you're interfering with yourself??? I'm interested
nevertheless in the methodology the MED come up with on this one...
