Description
This group aims to encourage and support sufferers of Lyme Disease in Australia. Lyme is often misdiagnosed here and many patients go without proper treatment for years (sometimes decades) enabling the bacteria to damage the heart, brain and central nervous system. Many people are misdiagnosed as having Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, depression, anxiety, Parkinson's Disease and more. My hope is to publicise Lyme in Australia, share information on the best treatments and to restore hope and quality of life. I am in favour of antibiotics for early stage Lyme, but am more inclined towards alternative treatments such as salt & vitmain C which have helped me tremendously when antibiotics failed.

Self-help requires intelligence, common sense, and the ability to take responsibility for your own actions. By joining the list you agree to hold yourself FULLY responsible FOR yourself. Please post your experiences in treating Lyme. We are not experts or medical doctors and these are only our individual experiences. There is no medical advice here. We can only tell you what worked for us or what we might do if we were in your situation.
I would like to keep unrelated topics, fun conversations and personal chatter to a minimum. This group is to specifically discuss symptoms and treatments of Lyme & co-infections. Please put "OFF TOPIC" clearly in the subject line if you are writing about things other than Lyme and it's treatment.
Wishing you all health,
Rosemary.
