Hi my name is Fiona and I am a still in shock mum of 11 week old fraternal twin boys Marley (7lb 1oz) and Mereki (8lb 6oz). My husband (Paddy) and I also have 4 other kids - Kelsey 12, Keely 10, Mason 8 and Kambell 5. It was such a shock when this old girl found out she was pregnant with twins whilst in the midst of having an amniocentesis at 16 weeks.
Can someone tell me where to purchase the rulebook on having and living with twins?
I am so looking forward to meeting other normal mums and dads to see how normal we really are or for that matter how nuts we are.
Please tell me if some of the traits of being the mum of twins is that I am still running around in my PJ's at 10 o'clock (sometimes 12) in the morning, and that the ability to think straight will get better or that going out for the day seems like a good idea at the time but once I am out I think why did I do that.
Is it me or am I imagining the fact that little old ladies (god love em) tend to jump out of nowhere and have you screeching to a stop so that they can have a peak at the twins. I have invested in a sunscreen/shade ( old meanie) for the pram so the old dears are not sure what is hidden in the pram so my shopping forays (when I get organised) are a lot faster than they used to be.
Well that is a little insight into the shore family funhouse and like I said I am looking forward to the opportunity of meeting people who understand where I am coming from.
By the way it has taken me 6 hours to do this message, is this normal?
