Re: [NewcastleMBC] Own Rooms

Hi Trish,
We have five month old twins with the same problem and always during the night one or early early hours of the morning one wants to be up and wakes up the other.  So during the night or early morning the one that is making all the racket gets sinbined (they get one chance to go back to sleep), sinbined is where they are put in the portable cot in the toy room, after one or two nights they figure out not to keep doing it and when they are in the portable cot they seem to go straight to sleep and the other one stays asleep in the room.
During the day one always plays up but we have relaxation cds going all the time during the day so the other one doesn't seem to get disturbed I don't take them out earlier than 1 1/2 hours so if they choise to lay their awake that's fine and if they want to cry they don't seem to wake the other one (i think because of the music going) and eventually they go to sleep.  As they are only up for a maximum of two hours wake time they are normally pretty happy to go to sleep, ha ha!!
good luck
danielle
We don't have another room to put them in to seperate them and at night if we don't put the noisy one in the portable cot in the toy room they end up waking our two year old as well and we do not want all three up at 2.00am.

Subject: [NewcastleMBC] Own Rooms

Hi All,

Just after a little advice from anyone that may be able to assist me
with making a decision to move my twins into their own rooms.

The have currently been sharing their room from the day they have come
home from Hospital and also shared their cot for the 1st four months,
but it has gotten to the stage now where, one will go down to sleep
easy and the other wants to be up chatting (or screaming.)among other
reasons, this is the main reason why I am seriously thinking about it.

I guess I just wanted to hear if other parents have their twins in
separate rooms & how the transition went.... I dont want to separate
them if it will make my situation worse.

Any ideas??

Trish Deacon
