Anyways, emails will now have the title: SFFiG, due to this being the club's new name. That's Science Fiction & Fantasy in Geelong.

Our Yahoo Group has also been renamed to reflect this. http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/SFFiG/  Join now - there will be some discussions and polls beginning regarding a movie christmas get-together event... details once we have them - but you can have your say on what movie and when, just log in to yahoo groups and vote.

Also, we now also have a Facebook Group - just search for 'SFFiG' in groups.

 

Other points we covered today - Memberships is something we would like to get started. This will involve a small fee and in return you will get a newsletter, cheaper admission on special events, and hopefully a few other perks we are yet to work out.

However, before we start taking money from anyone we must have a bank accounts, and before we can do that we must be an Incorporated Body, which means having a committee.

So the Committee is Step 1. For now though, due to my own busy schedule, and I imagine many other peoples' at this time of year, we are leaving this until January.

CONCLUSION: SFFiG will remain completely free for at least another ccouple of months, then will include a small membership fee, with some goodies in return.

 

I'd also like to hear from anyone that may have skills they'd like to donate for a club logo incorporating our 'SFFiG' acronym.
