Announcing SFFiG's new format of emailing updates: SFFiGly news - that's right news relevant to SFFiG, once per SFFiG. Not sure what I'm talking about? Think I've lost my marbles? Gone space crazy, have I? Not today.
Since a SFFiG event occurs every two weeks on the Friday, one fortnight marked with the beginning and end of this time period occurring on the alternate Fridays will be from here on referred to as one SFFiG. Yes we have our own measurement of time now.
So, as you will probably have guessed, news delivered SFFiGly will be arriving on the Fridays that mark the ending of one SFFiG and beginning of a new SFFiG.
Now that makes more sense than a monkey full of barrels.

SFFiGly News!

Important SFFiG News:

Youdunnit Results:
The conclusion to last week's Youdunnit mystery night is here, after players took control of their favourtie characters for the night we discovered that Majin Buu (Dragonball Z) had been brutally beaten, and everyone in the room was a suspect. We interrogated everyone, for a while Korban Dallas (Fifth Element) was looking pretty suspicious, and in the final moments the lights went out and Captain Kirk (Star Trek) was found dead. However Korban was found not guilty since we did not get enough evidence by the time the game was over. Once everything was finished it was revealed that the whole time Dark Helmet (Spaceballs) was the real culprit!
We had a lot of fun and I'm planning on runing some youdunnit variants coming up, hopefully with more people to mix things up a bit :-)

Memberships reminder:
Seeing as we have just passed our first birthday this also means that all those people that generously paid for their annual membership on August 3rd last year will have reached the end of their memberships. However, as this was not mentioned earlier we're giving an extension until after our next event (date to be announced) so that those members can still get in for the cheaper price and get two door prize entries! If you have any questions about memberships feel free to speak to me, or Andrew Saunders, our Membership Officer.

Upcoming Events:
At every event look out for free tea & coffee as well as a door prize! A variety of prizes at each trivia night.

NEXT TIME AT SFFIG:

Currently we do not have a date set for our next event, but watch out for an announcement coming soon! See below for future events.

COMING UP, ON SFFIG:
