Some have asked if some of us are being a little too harsh
with people who are merely being foolish, or encouraging
foolishness. But when one turns one's common sense off, one
leaves oneself stumbling blindly through life, and things
do begin to go wrong.

Sometimes the wrong things get extremely wrong, and we find
ourselves thinking about rewriting what we once wrote. This
happened in the case of a certain John R. Hagins, who
called himself "KheruSekhmetIsep". Short form : Mr.Hagins
allegedly begins experiencing auditory hallucinations and
other apparent signs of schizophrenia, becomes convinced that
the goddess Sekhmet is literally speaking to him, apparently
develops a delusional belief in an exciting life on the run
and an imaginary criminal past, finds his delusions validated,
and then, one day, much to the amazement of the police, kills
himself rather than be sent back to a prison, that he probably
was never really in. He was 26. He will never be 27.

Not that I'll miss the guy, personally. By the time I got
to know him, he was quite the jerk. But, he did have help
getting there, and the image is not a happy one. The thought
that somebody who needed help was lead astray by some of the
elders whose sole concern seemed to be in maximizing cash
flow (tithes included), leaves me wanting to throw up.

The shame of it is, that among the elders, this remains
business as usual, and few seem to mind.
