1/2 way through the year already and the good news just keeps on
comming
Activision's vice president of global brand management, Will Kassoy
has spoken about Transformers the game release date to be the same day
as the Movie release which is 4.7.2007
So double the taste of Transformers on 1 day
Also as much as they are Loved or Hated Starwars Transformers will
continue well into 2007. Atleast until the Movie toys become available
Next year is going to be a great year for all things Transformers

I think thats suppose to be megatron.
Man this is funny. Over at the producers website donmurphy.net he
wrote some Very nasty posts about how people are stealing the set
property. So please Mods and members excuse the language that
Mr.Murphy uses. he gets pretty descriptive and harsh.
http://www.d13satellite.com/donmurphy/showthread.php?threadid=11680
i think the releasing of this makes him seem foolish now.
here's his original post:
What is So Hard To Understand?
Listen
If it were entirely up to me
If it were my $140 million
I'd say go crazy, find secret images and do whatever you want.
I'd even let the criminals trying to profit off out work at
transformerthemovie (who tried to sell us the url a year ago) do
whatever they want.

Because DON MURPHY (me) believes that fans make shit happen.

I was such a fan of Star Trek in the 1970s that I SUBSCRIBED to
fondly forgotten fanzines like THE HALKAN COUNCIL and MENAGERIE.

I've read comics since DEFENDERS #8 at summer camp.

I am a fan who smartly has been able to turn what he loves into a
film career.

Fine. Good for me. Who cares.

The problem when something like TF comes about is that you have a lot
of other cooks involved.

You have Tom Desanto, a terrific guy, who refused to see the wisdom
of the voice actors.

You have Lorenzo DB who jumps on to films and talks about the glory
days when he ran a studio and made TWISTER.

You have Michael Bay, a majorly talented director who we were lucky
to get, who is a total perfectionist.

You have Dreamworks execs like Marc Haimes and John Fox who sheperded
this with me for two plus years.

You have Adam Goodman the president of production, the person who got
Steven and Michael on board.

And hell, you have Steven, the most successful filmmaker EVER who
wanted this movie more than anything and made it happen/

That's a lot of people.

And we aren't mentioning the dozens internally at Dreamworks or
Paramount or those MAKING the film.

Or Ian who watches the cash or John, Roberto and Alex who wrote the
thing... Or the dozens at Hasbro who own this behemoth.... etc

And if ANY of these people want to keep a lid on the trailer till
Monday...
If ANY of them want to keep photos that they own off the web...
If ANY of these people want to stop some Welsh people from profiting
from their images

Is it not their right?

Well, it is.

The people at TONS of sites have been hearing from DW over every leak.
People have been fired.
People have been sued.
That site WILL come down.

This is NOT anti- fans.

This is PRO MOVIE.

Again, if Chokass or any of the Tools from that site want to pay the
$140 m plus then I say great, you run the show.

Otherwise, obey the law.

I don't have interests in being the guy who has to deal with the
asshole fans.

There are just too many good guys out there who I have met through
this board.

On their msg board that suck site comments on my behavior as if THEY
DESERVE POLITENESS for behavior that has ruined my freaking day
because of all the calls I had to deal with from legal etc.

They aren't fans. Fans don't advertise.

In fact- wait for it- TFW2005 and ALLSPARK and SEIBERTRON - they are
run by fans. I met the TFW guy after FIGHTING with the guy and the
ill will disappeared in FIVE seconds- because we were both fans and
just wanted fans to be happy.

So what the hell am I banging on about-

Hate me, hate Michael, hate whatever the hell you want.

But break the law, someone is gonna call me. Someone is gonna smack
you.

And you deserve it.

Here's how YOU can get your thread closed TOO, kids....
1- Call out to me in the headline, like Hey, Don or something. I'm
not your bitch. I try to read everything. You don't need to make this
place even MORE about me. Just post. If I feel like responding, I sho
nuff will.
2- Pointless negativity. I am fine with negativity since I am
composed of pork and hatred. But make a post just to ask who should
direct the film instead of Michael and bam, see ya. Michael's the
director and doing an awesome job. Start a thread about something
intelligent, whether positive or negative and it stays. But if it is
little whiny fanboy crap, hey, I'll close it.
3- Attack me or people I work with personally. That's always a winner
for the everyday coward.
4- Be insanely off topic.

I built Metrodome's transformersdvd.com website.

I wrote both comics 'The Beast Within' given away with two DVDs.

I put them in touch with Lee Sullivan for the cover art.

I supplied them with fanart for their DVDs.

Anyone else done this?

Don't forget "I try to make money off other peoples' work. I tried to
trick real fans into coming to my site. And I came to the fansite of
the producer of the film and sent my henchmen here to start shit.
Because I AM A TRUE FAN!"

The basis of Don's argument?

I don't think you would use a well formatted, constructive argument
at all. Just the old 'bury the head in the sand and ignore the
facts'.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm the producer of the movie.
I am telling you you are NOT allowed to use the images.
I am telling you that Dreamworks is going to shut you down.

What other argument do you need?

Alright, that post's gotten me riled. Constructive intelligence? You
mean starting a thread on a message board full of swearing that
encourages fans to 'RISE UP AGAINST OUR TORMENTORS!' rather than
settling it via email? Or Hell- doing anything at all?

Read that 25 page monstrosity, and you'll see JakeCop came here to
tell everyone what was going on, and Murphy started this. Before Jake
came, he'd had his phone number, hoiuse address, name, email address
and photographs of his house posted on the thread.

Our arguments are perfectly constructive, whilst yours are not. I
look at stuff JakeCop's posted, and then glance at those which
follow, and it's as if he's ignored- people simply carry on
saying 'Well done, done. Great speech', even though we've genuinely
just proven him wrong. We simply state what Paramount have told us
to, and retaliate to those who feel the need to jump the gun and hurl
insults.

There is no need whatsoever to try and turn this into an argument of
whether or not we respect what Don Murphy's trying to do. We've
stated on the previous thread, we have no problem, we admire hm for
it, but when he doesn't have the respect to contact us peacefully, he
gets a retaliation, as well as the right people being called.

So now, without taking action which would entail taking down TFW2005,
Seibertron and company, the only beef you have wiith us is that we
use the new official logo. Yes, it's cheeky, and admittedly very
unoriginal, but for now at least, it's the only design we have.

... and Paramount are fine with it. Okay, so let's say Dreamworks is
a seperate legal entity- if DW decides to disagree with Paramount,
this means there's going to be a clash between the two companies,
which won't be beneficial to the movie as it will take time and money
for a lawsuit, as well as time for negotiations between the two
companies.

As said- if Dreamworks or Paramount wants us to take the site down,
they will let us know via email, and certainly not via message board.
We will only listen to them, as they carry the official word of the
studio, whereas Don does not.

Sorry if I've sounded like an arse- I've tried to carry my argument
across concisely is all.

Cheers.

How could you HELP but sound like an arse
I mean being one and all
????????????

argument, at first compared by others to mimmick Stalin, is now
painfully obvious as having about as much flair for the English
language as your average obese Wookie enduring an orgasm.

... and to sink to your level, you LOOK like a fat Wookie having an
orgasm. Ho ho ho! My wit enthralls me!

We are in the right, Don, yet you still choose to hide behind
pretence, and no less than 12 question marks. If a four line post is
all you can muster to my argument, then perhaps we have a right to
ignore you.

And we ARE right to ignore you- obviously being a producer in
absentia on this film- baggage that the studio would have preferred
to have jettisoned- has taken its toll on your manners and sanity.

Remember, people. We're not cowards, we came here and were slandered.
We obey the official word of the studio, which is not present in Don
Murphy.

Sorry it had to come to this- I'll be over on t'other forum for those
who seem to have taken a shining to us. We're nice people, honestly.
We meant not harm.

I am in absentia? Then you must be a very sad sack of shit. If not
for me junior then there never would have been a film. No one
jettisons me.
But you can go run away like the coward pussy you are.

I answered you.

Your site is illegal.
And just on principal I am having it taken down.

Now go suck on your pal Jakecop and die.

What threat? It might take a few days but the site is coming down. I
don't have to do anything. They broke the law and will have to deal
with it.

There's been no threats.

OKAY seems to me mr.Murphy thinks very Highly of himself. Going as
far as Saying that there would be no Transformers movie if it weren't
for him. Hmm I guess Hasbro and takara and all the folks who bought
their product for what 20 plus years mean nothing. Hmm. This coming
from a guy that has produced 1 good movie. Also seems that anyone who
doesn't agree with him and his clones are uhhhh Not Fans and other
choice words. I read through 10 pages of mindless dribble on his site
and I must say I feel bad for anyone not pro Don Murphy. His clones
went as far as stating :

Actually, your mom does a good job of keeping things warm, both on

give her a kiss on the cheek for me, but remind her that I am a

Man really adult there. Good work clony. Make fun of a Man's Mother
over a stupid Movie. Which is what it all falls down to. This is just
a movie. None of the clones or anyone else but the Movie makers
actors and theaters are making anything from it. Have we really
dropped this bad that we must make fun of people's mothers. Grow up
Clone. The world does not revolve around Don Murphy transformers or
You. This is just plain stupid Murphy needs to get off his high
horse and stop insulting the Fans. Hey Don those guys are the guys
and gals that will go see your movie. No need to threaten people
shuting down their sites. thats just childish. get back to work and
give us a good movie instead of your rants. And Clones not all people
will agree with Mr. Murphy and guess what thats ok. It is a free
world right.

Transformers Teaser Officially Launched

Well it looks as if Paramount would rather release the trailer
than see people jumping from site to site to find the illegal version.
So now you can see it in all its glory at the Official Transformers

Well it has been a slow week in deed for Transformers news
but i have a little bit for us
So here we are

Here's the juice.

6" Titanium Transforming Characters
- War Within Optimus Prime (known about)
- Megatron (known about)
- War Within Jetfire (known about)
- G1 Scourge (known about)
- War Within Thundercracker (known about)
- Optimus Primal (orange and blue ... BM? Optimal Optimus?)
- Rodimus Prime
- Soundwave
- Starscream
- Cheetor
- The Fallen
- Ultra Magnus
- Megatron

3" Titanium
- Hot Rod
- Thundercracker
- Galvatron
- G1 Prime
- Cliffjumper (repaint)
- Sunstreaker
- Soundwave
- War Within Prime

There are more listings, but I'll get in to that in a moment.

Transformers the Movie

I don't know how much of this I can go in to. I have exact
descriptions of certain scenes, I have names of characters (based on
toy listings), and I have licensing information. But I'll start with
the little stuff.

Your Transformers Movie Headquarters is...

Target! Apparently they had a choice between choosing Spiderman-3
(now a Hasbro toy property?) or Transformers, and Target chose to go
with Transformers. They will be the place to get things like
Transformers gift cards, and stuff with Transformers all over. Think
back to things like the original Spiderman, Star Wars Ep 2 and 3,
and The Hulk. That kind of promotion stuff going on.

Apparently you can't put the Transformers name on your product
without adhering to a certain agreement -- your product has to have
the ablility to "transform" ... think sweatshirt with the ability to
transform in to a hoody, or something to that effect.

As for movie scenes?

SPOILER!

Optimus Prime/Starscream chase scene, through a busy street. Lots of
transforming, leaping over cars, transforming back. Apparently you
get scenes like Transformers fighting on city buildings, blowing up,
shooting through buildings, typical Michael Bay stuff. Bumblebee
starts as a 74 Camaro, eventually turns in to a 07 (or 08?) Camaro,
the frist new model in awhile. GM is planning to promote this new
Camaro through Transformers quite a bit ... can we say Alternators
Bumblebee? (speculation) A couple of these scenes seem to mimic the
script Tony B reviewed awhile back, FYI

The first toys listed for the Transformers movie are all in the 3"
Titanium line. Heard a whisper (NOT CONFIRMED) that Soundwave is OUT
of the movie altogether now, not even Soundbyte. Again, NOT
CONFIRMED.

I have a bit more information on Hasbro's plans for 2007 with their
Transformers G1 and Transformers Movie licenses. Apparently G1 will
be more heavily focused upon, along with some new digital and unique
offerings for the adult collector. Read on to see a snippet of an
article from Royalties Magazine...

Transformers fans have a lot to look forward to as new Generation
One (G-1) branded products come to market, particularly in the
digital media space. Through a recently inked deal with Activision,
Transformers will be coming to various gaming platforms including
next generation consoles, the PC, and hand-held systems. On the
mobile gaming front Glu mobile has signed on to create a
Transformers mobile experience for popular wireless handsets. These
interactive entertainment offerings will debut in 2007 along with
the Transformers movie by Dreamworks pictures and Paramount pictures.

This year HPG will build on the classic G1 storyline of "good vs.
evil" through a comic book program from IDW. In addition,
Transformers characters and icons from the G-1 theme will be found
on apparel and accessories from licensees such as Accessory Network
and collectibles from Diamond Select Toys will be available at
specialty stores and comic book retailers.

For the fan who has it all but is looking for a creative new option,
under a pending deal T-shirts, sweatshirts, and postage stamps will
soon be customizable with classic Transformers images, as well as
other iconic Hasbro brands through an online personalization portal.

In 2007 look for an extensive line of licensed products in support
of the live-action Transformers movie. The licensing program will
include products in the digital media, apparel and accessories,
publishing and home décor categories as well as many others.

Well, you can buy him online for $20, doesn't seem all that rare to
me. And aside from still being Prime, there is no simularity with
the 20th whatsoever??
