  1. I hope this ends up being a very cool film
  2.  I hope the Transformers we have seen end up  resembling  what we know and love ,  Don’t get me wrong I like new idea’s and creativity but try to keep the continuity of what we know in any new designs is all myself and  any other fan is asking  Hasbro, Paramount
  3. Id like to see your collection Dave sounds impressive

I gotta agree with you Jason I too am like Dave and I am very
undecisive on this movie. What I have seen so far whether true or not
does not scream out Transformers to me. It seems it is just a movie
USING the Tf name and Characters and not really a TF movie. Now I
have read "Others" opinions on how these things are so Transformers
like and we need to get over the whole G1 thing you are not true fans
etc..... Well to them I say this You are lying to yourself. these
things have no connection to any tf related product other then their
names. In every series from G1 to Cybertron the characters have had
some basic features to connect them to that character. Primes face
and chest Plate Megatrons Large gun etc..... Now in Beastwars it was
basically just the heads but those guys were Not the G1 Characters
Period. And Hey I've heard the Prime is not a Monkey hes a truck
crap. Well that's true and if they had watched Bwars and
Beastmachines they would not need to compare it as so. Ignorance is
bliss I guess. These Movie Characters have none of those basic
features. Bumblebee does not look like Bumblebee and megs looks more
like a Gyver villian. And for those folks who will say hey what do
you know you are not a true fan well i flip you off. I have collected
transformers for a long time and have figures from every series from
G1 to Cybertron. I have just about every comicbook from Marvel to
IDW. hell I even have the Tf Genesis book that was supposively not
made cookie jars bed sheets hell even my ceiling fans blades have
Transformers on them. But you know what I don't need to prove myself
to those folks. I have every right to make my own opinion on any
subject matter be it the movie to minicons. Because in the end I am A
tf fan who hasn't seen anything impressive about whats been released
about the movie be it true or false and Proud of it.

No problem. I also posted these at SpiderX's Hero
Haven. Lady Hawk, trey & SpiderX from PUAO are
members there. I occasionally submit Transformers

Let's HOPE these are all going to be changed by the time the final cut makes it to theaters, because I've about given UP hope for this movie, I'm sorry to say!

Well done Bobby and thanks

They are writing this movie up to be better then once thought I think after the much Hated Megatron pics surfaced  they will try harder to reinvent him a little and I am sure

Megatron will change over the next month or so , But having said that I am still interested in the film I hope there is plenty of action and the “BIG FIGHTS”  they mention are actually BIG FIGHTS

And not “QUICK  MOVINGFIGHTS  to cover up bad CGI- Think BATMAN BEGINS type fighting

Which worked in that film as it was meant to be mysterious but it wont work in Transformers

And I hope for all the fans this very cool film and the talk of it being very very cool is not just SMOKE AND MIRRORS to shut us up or atleast quieten us down a little knowing

We prefer a truer version of certain characters not heavily modified and 100% reinvented to suit Hollywood

Remember  Hasbro,Paramount it is also about selling cool toys not having 50 Megatrons on the shelf because he looks like the T-1000 gone wrong  and Optimus prime is your only seller due to the fact he still looks like Prime .

Did Your Favorite Make The Cut? 'Transformers' Writers Reveal Robot Roster
Movie will feature a mix of classic characters, later additions.
by Larry Carroll
(Paramount Pictures)
They'll always be "robots in disguise," but the identities of the non-human stars in next
year's "Transformers" movie are finally coming into view.
Screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci hosted a groundbreaking Web chat Friday
(August 18), answering the e-mails of concerned fans and making some announcements
of their own. Surrounded by posters of the '80s cartoon, laptops sporting the more-than-
meets-the-eye logo and dozens of classic action figures, the duo professed their own
geek credentials while doling out manna for the masses.
Describing Optimus Prime as having "Shakespearean" qualities, the duo began by listing
his four main compatriots in the Autobot army. First up is Bumblebee, who kick-starts the
plot when he's purchased by the unknowing Spike Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) then transforms
for the first time and befriends the awestruck teen. After the ongoing battle between the
alien robots invades Earth, audiences will also meet Jazz, a sports car Kurtzman described
as "the loyal friend. He's the guy who believes if you can't do something in style, it's not
worth doing at all."
Another Autobot will be Ratchet, who was an ambulance in previous Transformers
incarnations but "will have a new form," Kurtzman said. Avoiding such other well-known
Autobots as Mirage, Wheeljack and Prowl, the writers then rounded out the good guys with
Ironhide, a tough-talking van Orci described as "the first one in. He's the first one to clear
the field."
"Ironhide is the muscle," Kurtzman added. "Ironhide is the tough one."
Turning their attention to the evil Decepticons, the writers began by confirming the
obvious: Megatron will be leading the charge.
"Megatron is a little bit more realistic," Kurtzman said, contrasting the villain with his
arch-enemy, Optimus Prime, while confirming that they will indeed have an intense face-
off. "As opposed to pure evil, [Megatron] thinks it's his God-given right as one of the most
advanced creatures in the universe to do [to humans] what we sometimes do to animals."
The malevolent pistol will once again be backed by his right-hand man (and occasional jet
airplane) Starscream, and the writers assured fans that their beloved bickering will be
present in the
Michael Bay blockbuster.
"Yes, the dynamic you know between Megatron and Starscream will be alive and well," Orci
said of the commander's tendency to chew out his henchman. "Why would we try and
change that?"
The Autobots will be outnumbered throughout the movie, the writers revealed, forcing
them to work alongside humans like Witwicky and soldiers Lennox (Josh Duhamel) and
Epps (Tyrese).
With that in mind, they listed the rest of the evil Decepticon army. In addition to badass
bulldozer Bonecrusher, fans will meet Brawl, "an extremely pissed-off Decepticon,"
Kurtzman described. "He's sort of the heavy-lifter among them."
Also among their ranks is Barricade, an obscure character introduced in a later generation
of the toy line and described by Kurtzman as "the hunter of the group," who changes
himself into a police car to take advantage of foolish humans who run to him for help. "In
a way," Kurtzman explained, "he's like a camouflaged hunter."
The group will also include Scorponok, a giant scorpion-creature who attacks the soldiers
in the Iraqi desert. "When you see him in the movie," Orci said, "You're gonna see that in
the environment he's in, he comes in very handy."
At his side will be Frenzy, a cassette tape in the original cartoon series who is expected to
be updated to some kind of tiny MP3 player for the movie. "Frenzy is of a smaller form,"
Kurtzman said of the character, "and is able to infiltrate smaller spaces around you and
not be seen."
Rounding out their ranks is Blackout, another fairly obscure choice described by "Mission
Impossible III" writer Kurtzman as "the guy who comes in and takes away all of our ability
to fight back," using a firepower that wipes out our technology. "[Blackout is] kind of the
first-tier attack," Kurtzman added.
Decepticon fan-favorite Shockwave, they added, will not be in the movie.
The writers revealed that several characters, including Ratchet and Bumblebee, will
transform into very different objects than they did in the original cartoon and toy series to
keep up with the times. "Bumblebee, regardless of what he is wearing, will still be
Bumblebee," Orci insisted, revealing that the affable Autobot will now be a sports car
rather than a Volkswagen Beetle.
Making frequent reference to sequel possibilities, the writers added that they would like to
introduce more characters from the Transformers universe in future installments,
maintaining a similar mix of different robots from different generations of the franchise.
"We're setting up a lot of threads," Kurtzman revealed of various plot lines. "Hopefully,
there will be a sequel."
Orci, who said that he watched the cartoon religiously, promised that many things from
the original series will remain in the big-screen film. This includes the wah-wah noise the
robots make while they transform, as well as their weaponry. "We want to be true to what
we know, which is that they fire pulse blasts," Kurtzman revealed, adding that in order to
maintain their disguises, the Transformers will only fire earthly missiles and bullets while
in vehicle form.
Wrapping up their "more than meets the eye" pronouncements, Kurtzman and Orci
announced a "Snakes on a Plane"-like contest that will soon be launched on the flick's Web
site. "Write a line for Optimus Prime," Kurtzman grinned, "and we will put it in the movie."
Teasing his writing partner, Orci added that in true Hollywood style, the studio would
drastically rewrite the quote before it came out of the Autobot leader's mouth.
Wrapping up their chat, Orci said the film had been written for both Transformers geeks
like themselves and complete newbies looking to be awestruck by the sight of photo-real
transforming vehicles. "This story is very much designed so that you don't need to know
anything about the Transformers before you come into it," he said. "We wanted to make
sure that anybody could get into it, but without talking down to the fans."
"Transformers," which will also co-star living, breathing actors Jon Voight, Dane Cook and
Bernie Mac, is currently filming with its sights set on a July 4 release.

Transformer Bots Revealed
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, writers of the upcoming Transformers movie, revealed
the list of robot characters that will appear in the big-budget adaptation of the 1980s
comic, toy and animated franchise, topped by the Autobot leader Optimus Prime and the
Decepticon leader Megatron, in a live video Q&A on Yahoo! on Aug. 18.
On the Autobot side the movie will feature Bumblebee, Jazz, Ratchet and Ironhide. On the
Decepticon side, the film will include Starscream, Brawl, Bonecrusher, Barricade,
Scorponok, Frenzy and Blackout.
The writers also asked fans to submit a key line of dialogue for Optimus Prime on the
official Web site, which will be included in the film, apparently taking a page from the
publicity campaign for Snakes on a Plane, which also incorporated a fan-suggested bit of
dialogue.
The writers said that the movie will rely heavily on characters from the generation one
chapter of the long-lived franchise, centering on the war between the benevolent Autobots
and the nefarious Decepticons—a war that plays out on Earth in 2006. Michael Bay is
directing Transformers, which is currently in production with an eye to a July 4, 2007,
release.

An Update on the Transformers
Source: Michael Bay
August 20, 2006
Michael Bay's official message boards Admin 'Nelson' has posted an update with info from

1- They will be releasing more teaser posters in the coming months.
2- Paramount made studies and concluded that the TF "ANNOUNCEMENT" was the 2nd
highest rated "teaser" this summer.
3.- They just finished shooting a lot of Pentagon interiors on a soundstage in scenes that
involved many Chiefs of staff in their huge war room.
4.- Shia just was recently suspended over the edge of a 20 story building in a very
dynamic and intense scene.
5.- The average transformation time from normal mode to alt mode and vice versa is
about 3 to 4 seconds.
6.- The leaked pictures are legit (although a somewhat early rendering).
7.- Filming of massive chase scenes will begin in the following weeks.
8.- The CGI transformations by ILM are looking wicked and nastier every single day.
9.- Part 1 will be about why the transformers came to earth.
10.- This movie will be a new start for the live action franchise that will not be based on
any particular TF TV series and/or comic book.

Brian Goldner Responds To Movie Megatron Leak
---------------------------------------------------------------------

After intensely negative fan reaction to the leak of the
Transformers Movie Megatron, Hasbro COO Brian Goldner has responded
on the Don Murphy Forums.
Quote:
Good Afternoon--Let me answer your questions. Starscream is simply

noted to Nelson earlier in the week, the details, deco, weapons, and
sculpt itself will change as we move from grey model to final form.
Megatron is an early style board. Without revealing too much of the
story, there is a very important reason for his look to have evolved
from pure G1; although the final look is a work-in-progress--ILM has
just recently begun all their CGI development. Megatron has a iconic
personality, and approach that dates back to G1. Throughout time he

Transformers Movie Jazz Design Rumors
TFW2005 has received the following information about the design of
Transformers Movie Jazz:

Transformers To Get Real
Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, writers of the upcoming Transformers movie, told fans
that the movie will take a real-world approach to its depictions of the robots that can
change from everyday objects such as cars into futuristic fighting machines. "In translating
this thing to live action, ... all of these Transformers are being designed in the movie such
that, when they transform, there's no cheating," Orci said in a a live video Q&A on Yahoo!
on Aug. 18. He added: "It's very much what it would realistically look like if a Transformer
was sitting right there as a car, and it turned into the character that you know."
As a consequence, some of the everyday incarnations of well-known characters may
change for the movie: Bumblebee, for example, is now a Camaro instead of a Volkswagen.
"All the vehicle decisions were made based on literally sitting and staring at the actual
vehicles and seeing how they would actually transform and deciding based on what is
going to be the coolest version of seeing this live," Orci said.
Transformers is the big-budget adaptation of the 1980s comic, toy and animated
franchise and deals with the war between the benevolent Autobots and the nefarious
Decepticons, which plays out on Earth in 2006.
Kurtzman and Orci are perhaps best known for writing several episodes of ABC's hit TV
series Alias for creator J.J. Abrams and also for penning the script of Abrams' Mission:
Impossible III. For Transformers, which is being directed by Michael Bay, the writers
wanted to come up with a story that is based in reality. "[We said,] 'We really need to find a
way to get people to understand that it's not just a cartoon,'" Kurtzman said. "This is a real
movie where humans, actors, are going to be interacting with robots. ... We approached it
from the point of view thinking, 'You know, when Steven Spielberg went to make Jurassic
Park, nobody could imagine what it would be like to watch humans interacting with
dinosaurs.' So the more people ask us, 'Well, [is it] a cartoon?' the more we thought, 'Wow,
no one's ever seen anything like this before. We have this amazing opportunity to do
something for the first time.' And that's kind of what shaped the way that we approached
writing the characters, making our decisions and how we shaped the story." Transformers
is currently in production with an eye to a July 4, 2007, release.

Access Hollywood has posted behind-the-scenes video from the upcoming SF movie
Transformers, which director Michael Bay is currently shooting in downtown Los Angeles.

Well he isn't a planet but overall a mini version of Megatron or
Galvatron
His transformation is kinda simple enough but with his shoulder
cannon and leg panels always getting in the way it can be a pain
And like most figures that the legs spin on balljoints they become
loose very easy
So in robot mode if the balance is not right he will lean
backward/forwards or just fall over
Overall he will become a loose figure in many places with even the
minimum of use, and i have only transformed him once.

Vehicle mode is kinda cool but if not lined up properly will
seperate as there are pegs that need to fit into his wheel tracks to
hold the front in and pull the back in tight doing this took some
time and getting used to but over all he looks pretty mean with his
shoulder cannon, A small gun on his right shoulder and mini spikes
and a claw at the front give the impression to "GET OUT OF MY WAY"
look

Another downside is the 4 grey spike to which are attached to his
leg panels they come off regardless and agin contribute to the
loosness of this figure.

I would super glue them in but the instructions read the leg panel
spins around as part of the transformation and if these spikes were
glued into place they would face backwards, But is that a problem at
all as they dont fire anything and are mainly for presentation

So i might just do this

The planet key fit in behind and only opens the dome at the front
but with this sitting behind it is out of the way in both vehicle
and bot mode so it is well hiden and not to unattractive
Articulaation seems to be very cool but but using this figure over
and over again he will becomea floppy rag doll ( better off buying 2
and keep 1 in the package)

Paint scheme is cool and lots of detail stands out especially his
large brown rear wheels again they dont stand out to much to become
a eyesore well hidden
His chest sticks out and looks kinda weird but not as weird as the
pics show
The colour scheme is enough to say it is UNICRON.

So my overall feeling is not a bad toy but if i was a kid i would be
annoyed that he is very loose after short play ,these days
articulation makes up for what we missed out on in having (G1)
figures.
there is a battle or base type mode but i could not be bothered it
is not that important considering his size just think scorponox or
powermaster primes base mode -basic legs out to the leftand right
and chest is the main base
tank mode is unique and cool and this figure if you are a Bludgeon
fan then kitbash this guy or just call him Bludgeon
robot mode he will stand well enough but again if the feet are not
right then he will fall and look drunk as he does the splits

Im going to give this figure a 5 out of 10
Mostly due to the unique vehicle mode , nostalga of the name
Unicron, his mass of weapons the dome that opens up reveals a 3
barrel chain gun or being Transformers it would be a 3 barrel laser
gun
and his shoulder cannon is cool-considering i shot myself with the
missle
But as i say many parts get in the way while transforming him and he
is a loose toy after short play his biggest down side
so lets hope for a larger version or atleast a new looking planet
mould
But if you are a Unicron fan and missed out on Amarda Unicron then
by all means purchase him im not fully disapointed but considering
this line of toys has been pretty awsome he was a let down
even Lugnutz was cool... cheers

The heights of the Transformers Movie Robot Modes have been revealed
by the guys at Latino Review.

So exactly how big are these robots? Michael Bay gave us the rundown
on some of the robots:

Jazz : 13 feet tall
Bumblebee: 17 feet tall
Ratchet: 24 feet tall
Iron Hide: 26 feet tall
Optimus Prime: 28 feet tall
Megatron: 34 feet tall
Now i dont know about you but for the first time ever Bumblebee is
bigger the Jazz so i am guessing Jazz is going a bit of a spy
