This group has been etablished as a means of celebrating the life of a "planetary midwife", Vivienne Elanta, co-founder of the Gaia Foundation, who died on the 16th August, 2004. She hoped that her death could bring joy and healing to all who knew her, or who have been touched in some way by her own life.
