Hi all,
Just to let you know about the circumstances around Ingrid's darling
Misty's passing. When she had a cesarian for her litter of pups, it
was found that she was in a real mess inside, cysts etc (probably
endometriosis) and she needed to be desexed. The vet didn't want to
do it then as it was not actually life threatening, which is usually
the only reason they do it during the same surgery. Ingrid waited
until Misty seemed back to normal and the pups were well and truley
weaned and the Vet assured her all would be well. Misty came through
OK, but during the afternoon started to go downhill. She was put on
a drip, but they couldn't save her. Misty passed away that afternoon
still at the Vet's. So it was an operation that happens everyday,
and is usually just routine, but it just goes to show that there is
still risk involved in all procedures. It should have been so simple.
Misty smiled by rolling her top lip back, and she did this the most
when she was pregnant. I will always remember her getting off the
lounge and smiling at me for the first time, and that's how we knew
she was pregnant. She was a very lovely girl, and Kim and I will
miss her too.
So go and hug your special baby, because Misty was Ingrid's most
special girl, and was far too young to go.
She'll be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge, Ingrid.
