Hi everyone, I have set up 3 data bases for the group, Long hairs,
Carriers and Possible carriers. Feel free to add your dogs to the
appropriate one, but please only add dogs that you either own or
bred. I know there are many more out there, but names shouldn't be
put up without permission.
Things have been a bit hectic at our place in the last few days.
Phantom took off into the dark when being brought over to the house
the other night, which is not unusual, but didn't come back as he
does every other night. When he eventually did, he was soaked in
blood, head, neck, front legs. What he had done was virtually rip
out a piece of ear at the bottom, 1" wide, 1.5" long. Less that a
quarter of an inch remained connected at the bottom. So he had
surgery yesterday morning, but we won't know for some time if the
ear will take or not. Luckily (?) it not on his show side, but gee!
He probably went after a roo, they are starving because the drought
is so bad here, & are coming right to the house and kennels. Even
the barking of the dogs doesn't worry them. We have about 80+ on our
place at the moment, even out in the day as they are so hungry. So
now Phantom looks like a right goose with one ear out through his
bandage hat. At least it's white. He went to the vets with bandages
made from a pink bedspread. Hey, at least it worked! So please send
us your best healing vibes. At least he did it while hunting, LOL!
Of course he is supposed to have something ENTIRELY different on his
mind this week, if you get my drift, VBG!
