Hi Petra,
I see there is not many response on your mail.
Well here comes my response then ;-)
Our goal with Vidar was to get qualifications on the field with him.
Well we made that with a Spring and Autumn qualification on the field.
So we are very happy with to have qualificationd in both seasons.
We had put a lot of training in this.
Next to that we als trained for the retrieving, but didn’t do any trials /
tests on that.
For next year. We hope to make him Dutch and International Champion.
Further our plans for the beginning of the year are a little bit unsure, but
if we can we will do the “Obedience- and Retrievingtest” from our
Weimaranerclub and the “Bloodtracking and Draggingtest” of our
Weimaranerclub. If he made them he earns the “predicate of natural ability”
from our Weimaranerclub. If we can not do it both in the beginning of next
year we will do that the year after.
In the Autumn next year we want to do a KNJV test (retrievingtest) with
Vidar.
And maybe we want to do some Open Class fieldtrials next year. Also
depending of we can do it. Everything is now a little bit unsure ;-)
With Felicia we want to start on the fieldtrials. And later in the year do
the “Talenttest Fieldwork” from our Weimaranerclub.
Further we want to do some shows with her. And fromof next year we also can
achieve the Youthchampion tittle.
Further we want to try to get some of Lara her puppies at shows and maybe to
do some huntingtests as well.
The 1 in Denmark is planing to compete with Baxter in the fieldtrials this
Spring already. I hope he can make that.
Maybe we go to Sweden next year in the Autumn then I hopefully can finish
the SVCH with Lara, she is only one 1st price left from that ;-)
It would be nice if she can make it the last time.
We have to see which dogs we take with us to Sweden. To see what we further
are going to do.
We are planning to do some fieldtrials there as well, to see how the trials
are over there.
So we also have to do the “Eftersökgrenarna” before that.
Further if we are there we want to do the Bloodtracking as well with Vidar.
The only thing we have to find out is if the show must be done in Sweden to
make the championatitle official.
IF that is so we also have to do a show over there.
So it will be a busy holiday then in Sweden. ;-)

Onderwerp: [Weimaraner_Longhaired] Have you all achived you'r goals for
2005?
I have :-) And I am so happy we did as I am on moternetyleave whit our
now 15 months son and don't have neither the tiome nor the money to do
all I would like to do....
We have during this year:
Started and passed obidienceclass 1 (came in 2:nd place of 12)
Started and passes "working dog" novice obidienceclass - tracking and
gotten mowed up to next class (We came in 1st place of 12!!) In sweden
we call this sport appelklass - spår :-)
Gotten our blood-tracking champion titel
Started using Indy as a trackingdog in the hunts here. His first track
was ower 24 h old and two other dogs had tryed to find the hurt moose,
but faield. But Indy tracked non-stop för 3!! hours and found the (now
dead) moose. He was the first weim ever in this huntingteam and I was
the first girl ever. One of the hunters had been to germany and hunted
with weimaraners in the 70:s and he was wery impressed by Indy, so
that was twise as fun.
Gotten to work on the fields 2 times and gotten to see how my dog
worked non stop searching after birds.
Started in 1 show where he got BOB but didnt behave well in the finals
(he djumpt arond more than he ran...he just TO happy sometimes) The
djudge said she would love to place him next time IF he ran as he
should.
Trained a lot of agility so that we can start competing next year.
SO for next year:
Get him to run the right way at indoors-shows. And show him at least 1
time. (Don't really like to show..prefer working with my dog)
Start and pass obidienceclass 2 and get at least a 2:nd price in
obidienceclass 3 (you need a 1st to pass)
Start and pass lower class obidience - tracking (the working dog class
after novice - tracking)
Start and pass lower class obidience - messengerdog (you can sart all
the lowerclass trials after passing noviceclass in on of the forms.
The forms are: tracking, searching, messengerdog and protection)
Start competing in agility and getting clear-rounds.
Train him alot more in fieldwork (if I can afford it) and hopefully
start in a trial.
Start training him in protection so that we can start him in a trial
2007.
Do the "working dog" mentality test (KORNING) and get a high score.
I really LOVE this versatile breed :-)
WHAT HAVE YOUR GOALS BEEN F0R 2005??? AND WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR
2006??
