Hi Irena, in NSW dogs have to be over 6 months of age. I think
there can be an exception when it is the sire and progeny or dam and
progeny where the progeny can be from 3 months of age but this is
arguable at times here and usually OVER 6 months too. One other
rule is that any dogs entering the property classes MUST be entered
in the conformation show. So you cannot just turn up for the
property classes.
We usually start with best headed dog and all come into the ring and
line up sitting and the judge looks at them all for her choice.
Then the bitches.
Then movement dog and obviously there doesn't need to be alot of
stacking as its a movmeent class. Same with bitches. With movmeent
it is COMPLETE movement so up and down and around or a triangle and
usually several times around all together.
Sire & Progeny is stacking and movement and they line up with the
sire or dam in front and the progeny behind...then the next set then
the next set and so on....there are also rules where you must have 2
as a minimum number of progeny or even 3....so you cannot just go in
with a sire and one son for instance.
We used to have best feet and coat. Coat would be good particularly
for the longhairs, in those instances all would just line up stacked
I think, no requirement for movement.
