Hi all,

Just thought I would post some results. I was waiting for some list members to
have a brag (hint hint) so this might work, as some of them are owners and/or
breeders of winners.

For list members overseas, an Open Show is one where no Challenges are awarded,
and is for non-Champion dogs, although these days, there is a class for
Champions. It can be judged by a beginning judge. LHs are shown as a seperate
breed here, and so at Specialty Shows there is breed judging for each variety,
and then the winners of each age group, Australian Bred or Open class, run off
against each other for the In Show awards. So for a LH to get one of those, they
must beat the winner of the smooths. No mean feat. LHs numbers here are very
small in comparison. Still, LHs have managed to take two of the three Australian
Nationals. :D

Best in Show and Runner up are litter mates. I cannot find a record of litter
mates, let alone one a LH, going Best and Runner Up before. Happy to stand
corrected :)
