Hi Maddonna,
Welcome to our humble little group! I hear good things about your
young man, like he was the only dog in a hot and dry tracking trial
to gain his TQT! The only one to even pass?? And success in the show
ring.
I'm afraid I can't help you with the burnt coat. Neither of my longs
has ever had it. The only thing that I can think of is either you'll
have to keep him undercover somehow in the heat of the day, or Plush
Puppy sell a sort of coat balm with UV filters. Not cheap, though.
Sometimes it might just be a dry coat, there are oils you could use,
Like PP Seabreeze Oil, or something water soluble like the Toy
exhibitors use. Alpha Kerry springs to mind. Increasing the Omega 3,
6, 9 in the diet wouldn't hurt. Oiling from the inside out. LOL.
There is a brand called Budget (something) that has all sorts of
things, in very plain, red and white packaging. Dog and horse stuff.
They have a 3, 6 & 9 supplement, but fish oil is high in 3 & 6 and is
easy to get.
Feel free to set your own album up in the photo section and we can
all have a look at your clever little one. Not that little, I guess!
Welcome aboard.
