Trish and family,
I am so very sorry to read about the passing of your furbabies. I shed a tear as
I was reading about what had happened. I am sending love and hugs via
cyberspace.

Subject: [Weimaraner_Longhaired] VOTE 1 RICHA - in honour of our darling girl!
Hi All
A few friends and members know of my recent losses. On October 25th
Richa was rushed to the vet with what we thought was just a good
dose of dihorea, not too much concern. She was checked, put on a
drip and monitored overnight. She had vomited through the day but
overall was normal, quieter though that we though was
understandable. I had calls from the vet to explain she was doing
well. Next morning she was well due to pick her up after 9am. The
8am call said she was ok. The vet nurse went to take Richa to the
toilet, when she began bleeding from the back passage and died. At
940am I had a call to say they had lost her! Needless to say the
shock, emotions going on was devastating. How, Why? A tumour we
didn't even know she had in her bowel was disturbed by the gastro
etc and erupted. Poor darling girl. We are always so careful, Richa
was 8yo and had full blood tests only 4 months prior as I was always
struggling with her coat and getting the colour Right after
desexeing 2 years prior. was this a sign, no blood tests faeces or
urine detected a abnormality. To add salt to a wound, my beautiful
Bazil had been struggling with cancer. He was coping, having more
good days than bad. However the Monday after Richa dies on the
Sunday (26th) we had to make the gut wrenching decision to have
Bazil put to rest. He was drained, tired, and moaning that day. He
was really weak and just a sad sight. Poor Bazz. I just couldn't and
wouldn't allow another day for that disease to make him suffer.
Bazil and Richa now run free and are happily re-united with many
grey hairy kids in heaven. Needless to say my husband Tony & I were
just beside ourselves with having 3 dogs, now we are down to 1.
Thankfully we have our darling Finn, a Bazil & Richa daughter 4yo to
cheer our days and make us smile.
One week prior to losing Richa she won a local fun fashion parade at
our Pet Store. It really was merely a bit of fun & I knew the store
owners and shopped there. They were lacking in numbers so invited us
to come and fill spaces. We did, and they loved Richa, she won!. It
was separate judging panel, so yes it was legitimate! Ha ha. I
emailed the DGG (Dog Gone Gorgeous) folks and let them know we'd
sadly lost Richa. They were darlings and very sympathetic. They then
looked at the web site and saw our lil Finn. They called me back to
ask if Finn would do her Mother proud by representing Richa. I
was 'gobsmacked' they'd taken the time! Nice people! I am asking
all our Weimaraner Buddies far and Wide to VOTE for Richa Miss
South Morang! Richa can be see at...
www.australianfashionweek.com.au
You do have to register to vote, its just a really small
registration, name and zip code, email address and use name (you
dont have to fill in all the address/ph number boxes etc etc!).
Hopefully your vote will keep Richa's memories going and represent
Weimaraner Long Hairs in a dog designer label!
Thank you for reading and I hope you and your friends will
VOTE 1 for Richa, Miss South Morang!
