Hi All,
Just to let you know that Ghostwind Gone with Wind obtained her
Australian Championship yesterday at Goulburn Show. Mary who was bred
by Sue Shrigley of Tasmania, owned by myself and my son Dale was
handled beautifully by Dale and awarded the Best of Breed to get those
elusive points to finish her off.
Congratulations to Mary and especially to Dale who has worked hard to
title her.
Hi Judy,
How have you gone with your litter?
Is Lugar in the National?
Talk soon.

Subject: [Weimaraner_Longhaired] Daan made me very proud
I had another field trial today and to make a long story short, we
won with the qualification good!!!!!!
The first part of her run was absolutely perfect. She covered het
ground very good, she used her nose high and hunted very fast. At
the end of the beets, she made her point on a pheasant and was
steady to the shot. It was perfect, but, I had to complete my 15
minutes and I made a stupid mistake.
I let her go the the part of the field where the hare were and well,
that was too much for her. First 2 pheasants and 2 shots and no
retrieve. Then the hare scent. She lost it and I couldn't get her
back . Thank god the judge was very patient with me, and waited to
call me back till she was back (which means I'm still in).
What a shame, that it ended like this!! It could have been much
better than a good. Not that I'm not pleased with it
When we were finally back in the cafe, it turned out I was first and
the other dog with the qualification was second with a good too. The
other 10 dogs had nothing.
The judge then told me Daantjes first run was perfect and instead of
a good, he wanted to reward me with a CQN. Someone from the Weim
Club talked him into giving me a qualification. Which is ok with me
of course  .
But let me tell you what a CQN means, I just looked it up.
It means the work was so good that he could've been rewarded with
and excellent or even a CACT (which is a CC for the field), but
because of a excluding mistake, couldn't be rewarded. I think you
have an idea about how I feel at the mo?!?!?!?

There have been no male longhairs winning tickets.
There has been one male Working Trial Champion in the UK, Ritisons
Constellation owned by Jenny Wilson, a shorthair. Made up in 1988
Two other SH dogs have won a ticket each, Ritisons Rainbow Dust also
owned by Jenny Wilson and Jackie Johnston's Dog Reeman Classic Image.
The last ticket won by a Weimaraner was back in 1993.

WOW! That site looks really good! I am impressed! I'm sorry for not
being online for the last week... we have been without power.
Hurricane Rita saw to that! But, now I am restored and am back
online! I loved that you had your pup on point with you(?) standing
next to him on your front page!!! I can't wait until you get it into
English... although I can have it translated.. I want to wait.

Marjolein,
The site looks awesome! I had no idea that you also shared life with a
Leonberger. Another gorgeous dog which is not commonly known about but
such a delightful personality. Well done on the site, your dogs look
happy and healthy and content.

I would be interested! Please let me know what you are asking for her, what
shipping to the states would be etc etc. I would also be interested in seeing a
pedigree and pics of the parents.. I would also like to see pics of her also.
What is her name?
I currently own a male from the Britfeld kennel in Aust. He is just so
remarkable! I also have a 10 month old LH female and a friend owns 2 LH males.
(One of which is the brother to my female). My weims are hunted in the field and
work on tracking, etc. I do not show my LH's as they are still a DQ in the
states... (maybe someday)...
I appreciate your time!

Just found your list and thought I would introduce myself.
We have a 7 year old LH - Aust Ch Kinzig Son of Beau (who is a Best in
Specialty and Runner-up to Best in Specialty Show winner) and have
three "home grown" longhair Australian Champions. Aust Ch Feldjaeger
Just a Delight (LH); Aust Ch Feldjaeger Lah De Dah (LH);& Aust Ch
Feldjaeger Lady Gdiva (LH).
Also I noticed some queries about my new longhair boy.
Thought I would fill you in. We picked up Enlich Lugar zum
Feldjaeger "Lugar" from quarantine in June. His pedigree and photos
are on our website - www.fjweis.com. Virginia Alexander and Debbie
Andrews found him for me. He was subject to a family break up, not a
death. Their loss and definately our gain.
At his first all breeds show he took Junior in Group and then went on
to take Challenge Dog and Runner-up Best of Breed a couple of weeks
later at the Brisbane Royal.
He had had no training when he arrived so we are very pleased with his
progress so far. He typically has lost his coat, coming from the US
winter to our heat it was to be expected. But is gaining some muscle
tone and his coat is starting to come back.
He has an absolutely delightful temperament. His first litter is due
at the end of the month (no longhairs expected unfortunately) and will
be mated to my Grand Champion (LHC) in a few days time.
Roz Buckley is the other proud (I hope Roz) grandmother of my Grand
Champ bitch, having produced her father - Weilander Nimbus Star.

Thank you for the nice welcome.. I have been a member of the European
Weim Message board for a little while now and saw that this one was
here.. So, what the heck.. is always nice to find new friends! :)
My Mike' (pronounced Meeka) is a wonderful LH weim female. She is
currently in training for the hunt tests in Dallas, TX this fall (or
most of the world's winter... hahahaa)! I tried to post some pics
last
night, but I don't know if they loaded or not.. It was very late and
I
was very tired! I will check to see if they are there or not. I
currently own 4 females and 2 males (1 female and 1 male I kept from
one of my females and my Australian Import male). I have high hopes
that my Mike', my Vito and my Harley will all do well in the hunt
tests and the field trials! They have all shown awesome prey drive,
great instinct, and a desire to please that is out of this world! I
could not be more happy with them! I also can not wait to see the
looks that I get when I run my Mike' in the hunt tests b/c no one
here
has ever heard of the LH Weim before. (I live in Texas). When I asked
the club director if I could register her into the field trials, her
immediate response was "Is she a English Setter mix?".. Of course, I
had to laugh! I told her that she was purebred and registered with
the
AKC. So she explained to me that any dog that is registered with the
AKC can run in the AKC sanctioned events. (I'm sorry if my speeling
is
off!) So, once I obtain Mike's JH title, I will begin her "serious"
training for the SH tests! Vito is also to run in the hunt tests (he
is my Australian Import male) and my Harley is scheduled for the
horseback field trials.... WOW, I am gunna be a busy bee!! (I also
have 3 other GSPs that will be competing in the hunt tests as well at
the same time).
My hopes are extremely high for all of my dogs in the tests this
fall.
I know that my Weims are ready for it! I would be happy to inform
everyone of the results of the tests/trials when they run.
I really do hope that the USA does feel "left out" as to the LH's
competing in the show ring as the rest of the world is now on the
band
wagon! I think it will not take long for the AKC to realize that they
are the only ones that THINK that the LH is a disqualification to the
show ring.. I would LOVE to put my Mike' through the show ring..
VERSATILITY!! That is the key to Weims! I also plan to duck hunt
Mike'
this winter and maybe even goose and rabbit this spring!
Boy, I am really glad that I can find the time to work all these
guys!
Up at 5 am and then not getting to bed until 1 or 2 am... LOTSA WORK!
But, they always said to me "If you love your job, then you do not
work a day in your life!".. This is turning out to be so true!
My future hopes are for Mike's brother "Jesse" to do just as well as
she does! I just began his JH training and hopefully will be able to
run him in the spring tests in Houston. (MAYBE!)
Well, it is getting late and I am gunna check the pix before I go off
to bed...
TTFN!
Melissa
Oh, BTW, my website is http://www.arielskennels.com if you wanna see
more pix of my dogs... HAPPY SURFING!

Hiya Judy and welcome on this forum
I just wanted to say I fell in love with your new LH addition. He is
gorgeous.
If I remember correctly, he is family to my girls, I think there's
some Hüseder blood streaming through his veins???
Cheers Marjolein

Hi Judy, nice to have you on board. Roz sang Luga's praises to me,
he sounds impressive. Can't wait to see him in the flesh, his
arrival certainly created some excitement!
