Well done Wendy,
Why is everyone so unkind to dear Lara.
Yes, she is a Weimaraner, Yes she is a longhair but she is a Sinaway too!
We wait for trial results.

Wow, what a weekend! Congratulations Ingrid, Leisel, Irena and her fiance Fred.
And Congratulations to Deb and Karl. Surely longhairs winning three classes in
group on the one weekend has to be a record?! And two at the one show??
Goodness, judges actually looking right the way to the end of the group line up!
Who would have thought it?
I have the very smallest of brags......on Sunday our girl Lara passed her
Competition Day test in Obedience, from Advanced to Transition, so it's trailing
next. Anyone who knows Lara will know just how incredibly
stubborn.....um....'full of character'........she is, and what a miracle that
was! Of course it was not without incident. During the three minute down stay,
she thought the sun felt lovely, and rolled over onto her side in the sun and
had a little snooze. At the end of the exercise when I walked back to her, she
just lay there wagging the very end of tail! But she stayed there!
If you speak to her not as nicely as she expects, she refuses to do anything
at all until you appologise and speak nicely to her. When I said that to the
instructor, she said that I shouldn't appologise and speak nicely, after all,
she was a dog. I explained she was not a dog, she was a Weimaraner,(and a LH at
that!!) but the poor woman just didn't understand. But then you couldn't really
expect her to. After all, she has Cocker Spaniels. LOL

Hi Deb,
Congratulations to you and Kurt on your young man's title. He has had
some great wins on the way, I am sure there will be many more.
Yahoo Groups has been having some problems of late, and I didn't get
the original message, just the congratulations. Weird!
Wendy
Thanks Ingrid

Hi Deb,
Congratulations on your new title.
Sorry I have been away from the computer for a few days so only just
catching up on the news.
Looks like he is steaming ahead for his Grand!
Well done from all at Sinaway!

It is with great pleasure that I announce another Australian Champion.
Yesterday 2/7/06 Happylea Kings Silver received his final points.
(He already was well over 150 points when he turned 1 in June)
Hi Ingrid,
Just to let you know Happylea Kings Silver (Harm) went BOB
again on the Sunday under the Uk Judge Mr T Smith and Atlas
his father went Australian Bred in Show. Unfortunately no
longhairs went up in Show on the Sunday.

Sydney Easter and Weimaraner specialty.

>This was my daughter, Liesl's first time handling at sydney
royal with her own dog: junior longhair bitch Grausturm Live the
Dream. She took reserve challenge bitch at Sydney Royal and
then at the specialty took BEST JUNIOR IN SHOW. She was
very excited as she beat all the junior shorthairs which added
up to about 9 dogs. The judge was a weimaraner specialist from
America DR Dana Massey.
>It is great to see the longhairs come up against their shorthair
counterparts and win so convincingly under specialist judges.
Intermediate in show was also a longhair - owned by Judy
Glover and the Best of Breed longhair was a lovely young male
owned by Debbie neumann who made a good challenge for in
show but was beaten on the day.
>I am feeling confident that our longhairs are certainly holding
their own and on a level playing field should win as often as
their shorthair counterparts. Interestingly often their parents or
grandparents which are shorthairs are placed at the same
shows - for example: our shorthair male Wylie Ch Grausturm
glitter Bug was placed first in open dog (another large class).
He is the grandsire of our junior longhair bitch. Also Peter Kings
shorthair male Atlas (i think grand ch greysouthern kings
legend is his name) was placed 2nd and he is the sire of the
lovely longhair male to take best of breed.
>Another pleasing result was to see Judy glovers longhair male
take 1st place in sire and progeny against the shorthair males.
>Go the longhairs!!!
