Just a reminder and clarification about the intervarsity and friends tourney coming up in just under 3 weeks. UQ will be entering 3 teams (hoepfully), QUT will have 1 team and Griffith will have 1 also, that leaves one spot open for a combined non-unis Brisbane team, I had interest shown from Plastic Scourgery initially, so if we could have confirmation of that, we would be grateful. (If UQ doesn't have enough for 3 teams we may look to have pickups on that team so stay tuned).
The day will have a BBQ Lunch, 5 games, music at the fields provided by the Regatta, and also the all important party and bar tab. All for just $20.
So stay tuned for final details and registration details once the teams are confirmed. Queries? Fire us an email at uqultimate@...
Due to Nationals being on over the long weekend the intermediate mixed league will be put on hold. Instead there will be pickup at the Annerley fields from 7:15-8:55
The draw for the rest of the season and ladder are here: http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/YUFL_intermediate/database

This sunday afternoon the two firestorm squads will be running a full length game as a final hitout before we head down to play Nationals in Coffs Harbour and on behalf of the squads I'd like to invite you all down for a bit of a relaxed sunday session.
We're going to load up the eskies with cold stuff to drink available for donation and a couple of our currently less mobile players will be manning the BBQ so that there'll be something to chow down on.
So if you've got nothing better to do this sunday - and elts face it - what could be better than sitting in a park, maybe having a couple of cold ****s with the opportunity to heckle some people chasing frisbee's round a field?
Where: Dorrington Park Ashgrove (On Mirabooka St)
When: Games start at 3:00pm
And if we're really lucky then the ladies might be playing a game against the barbarians at the same place at the same time but you'll have to talk to one of their head honcho's about that..
I have the fields arranged for mixed nationals for 18-20
October this year. AFDA will only sign-off on it being in Brisbane if I can
show them I’ve got enough people on the organising committee to run it.
Can you put in some time to help me make it happen? The
following are some of the tasks that will need to be done:
·finances,
·food,
·social,
·fields,
·web/communication
Please let me know if you are prepared to assist, and what
role you can do. The more ppl doing it, the easier if gets. Email or call me
ASAP.

Can everyone please make a conscious effort to do the following when commuting to and from the Annerley fields: - Not block residents driveways when parking - Not make too much noise when leaving
The residents on Baron Street and Victoria Terrace are technically our neighbours so lets treat them as such.

Qld has a number of players selected for national teams
representing Oz at the world championships in Vancouver in August this year.
So far we have:

Mike Neild
Mixed (Barramundis)

Well it is now confirmed that there will be teams from UQ (hopefully 2), QUT and Griffith participating. Entries are now open to at least 2 other teams to enter. I already have one interested party (Plastic Scourgery) so that leaves at least one more open spot. This will allow the uni teams to have some good competition against a variety of teams. The tournament will be a one day event on the 10th May with the following:
- A full day of games fun.
- Lunch Provided
- BBQ After the games
- After Party!!! (Probably at the Regatta (tbc))
More details to follow. Please email me if you want to enter a team into the tournament. Registration on AFDA will open shortly once fields are confirmed along with the price.
