There are a couple of reasons for this.

1) what are the indexes on your system?
I am trying to locate the document relating to ATTrack Indexes
but in short it should not matter what size your ATTRack database
is. With proper indexes, no search should take more than a few
seconds. I have just posted an old Thread regarding which indexes to
create.

2) Have you the ATTrack client that has the 5 minute timeouts?
