Welcome to the AMSAT-VK Group, also known as AMSAT-Australia (VK). The group is open to all amateur radio operators, SWL’ers, and radio hobbyists, who enjoy working or listening to satellite and space based radio systems.

We welcome all who are interested in discussing and exploring this fascinating branch of amateur radio.

AMSAT-VK members participate in a monthly net and organise face-to-face meetings from time to time. Our next scheduled get-together will be at the Wyong 2012 field day. Drop by and say hello to Jude - VK2TJU & Paul - VK2TXT at our stand.

There are no membership fees or ongoing costs to be a member of AMSAT-VK.
When joining, we ask that you include your name, location (QTH), and callsign, if you have one, and your reason for joining the group. A welcome message will appear on the message list after your membership has been processed, and you are encouraged to introduce yourself and your interests by replying to this message.

Our aim is to keep AMSAT-VK open to all, to be inclusive, to be friendly, helpful and to be an enjoyable experience for our members. Currently the Yahoo Group ‘owner’ holds the AMSAT coordinator position with the Wireless Institute of Australia and the group is a WIA affiliated club.
