Donna, I know you aimed this question as Pettina, but as we all have little girls around the same age I thought I'd chirp in and let you know that I've had trouble with Nara (22 months today) and I use a Trolleymonster in the trolleyseat which makes her happy and comfy. You can clip your toys to it, it comes with it's own little pillow if they're sleepy, has a great compartment ont he back for your purse and some nappies etc and even covers the skanky trolley handle.....let me know if you're interested in them, I'll send you the website off the boards as I sell them.

Hey Pettina, I'm currently in Narre Warren South in Melbourne but we have the house up for sale because we'd like to live closer to where my husband works (in the city). At the rate that people aren't buying houses around this way, we'll probably still be here in six months time.
Quick question - how is Isabella with shopping? I am struggling (me, not Makayla) . We're fine at home, at the library, at the park etc, but in the supermarket, absolutely useless. The number of other shoppers that look at me like I'm the world's worse mum (and at those times, I feel it!!!) is rising with each new visit. Its only a matter of time before they put a 'you're banned with that noisy, naughty child' up sign for us. Ironically, I think this is karma because I used to give the same looks to those poor mums with screaming kids hanging off their ankles, before I had a baby.
Just so you know - I've tried: shopping before a sleep, shopping after a sleep, shopping with a milkshake, shopping with a bread roll, shopping with Makayla in the pushchair, shopping with Makayla walking, shopping with Makayla sitting in the trolley seat, shopping with Makayla sitting in the trolley bin, shopping before a ride on the shop carousel, shopping after a ride on the shop carousel. As this now reads like a new Dr Seuss book, I'll stop here, I think you get the point. Lately I've been shopping - without - Makayla and that works fine. OK, its only realistic when I have a sitter, but I'm out of tricks. Any advice much appreciated!!!!!!
p.s I've read with interest the feedback on your earlier post. I thought they were some really good ideas, look forward to hearing how they work for you (and Isabella).
