Green tea????   Message List

Having just joined facebook I searched for anencephaly and found a
group there.....one of the messages posted by a member talks about
green tea inhibiting an enzyme needed for absorption of folic acid.

Anyone else heard of this?

I know I drank a lot of green tea during the start of my twin
pregnancy which resulted in anencephaly.......ok, I'm not looking for
something to blame, far from it I don't want to start blaming myself
all over again, but gee it'd be nice to know if this delicious
refreshing tea could be doing more harm than good.

Off to google land me thinks....anyone with any info please share.
