Stefan Glowacz - 28th June at Mainpeak Osborne Park

[]

Stefan Glowacz evening - Tuesday 28th June. At Mainpeak Osborne Park
In 2001 Stefan Glowacz became the first climber to tick the routes known in
Europe as the classic "Alpine Trilogy". These routes became well known as
the ‘big three’ due to their length and the high grade climbing throughout
and are considered by many to be the hardest Alpine rock routes in the
world. As well as being super technical, these long routes, established
with a ground up ethic of bolts placed on lead, are no ‘soft touch’ often
featuring their sustained hard climbing. Of the three only Stefans’ own
route KAISERS NEU KLEIDER 8b+ / 5.14a remains unrepeated. Join us for a
Mainpeak exclusive when Stefan Glowacz hosts an unforgettable evening on
the world of climbing.
Follow the links for <http://www.mainpeak.com.au/stefan2.pdf>more
information on the evening (PDF) or for

Tickets $14 for members. Starts 7pm

Speaker's series - Storytelling

It was a dark and stormy night. Around the campfire that night there was an
eerie silence, a hush like a thick blanket of fog, a cold, deepwater
silence of expectation. Tonight, there would be a story growing like a
river from the small streams of imagination, passing down the boisterous
and raucous rapids to the tranquillity of the sea. From spinning a yarn to
telling a fantasy, to just keeping the recount of how you nearly died today
interesting, learn the art of storytelling.
