AP:> One can drive up to the summit of Mt Dale. No climbing is involved
:-)

AP:> Whilst the Bibbulmun Track does go over Mt Cooke (north-south),
there are no marked east-west summit tracks. However it is relatively
simple to skirt around the base of Mt Cooke at either the northern end
or southern end to pick-up the Bibbulmun Track. I also have a circuit
walk described at <http://aushiker.com/mount_cooke.htm>.
Hope you get hubby out there soon.
BTW what is a b-i-l GPS? If you like using your GPSr you might find
Geocaching of interest. Details at <http://geocaching.com>. There is a
cache up on Mt Cooke ... Cookes Tour is its name.
