This is for Mike Wood as I don't have his email.
Mike,
I just want to confirm that you received the following donated items for the
Pakistan earthquake relief fund:
* 1 Fairydown single person Tunnel tent (still waterproof)
* 1 Dacron Sleeping Bag
* 1 Artiach Camp Rest self inflatable sleeping mat (repaired, does not
leak)
* 1 Caribee Down Ski Jacket (I hope I didn't leave anything in the
pockets!)
I dropped these off at the Mountain Designs City Store on Sunday 13th Nov,
hopefully they are of some use.
Regards
Perry Raison

Hi Guys,
A couple of things to let you know about, firstly Mountain Designs
and World Expeditions are bringing John Muir to Perth on Thursday
November 10th 7pm to do a show on his "3 Poles" Expeditions. John is
one of the only people in the world to have climb Everest and been to
both the North and South Poles. He's a great speaker, very funny and
understated. John also crossed Australia solo and unsupported.
Tickets from Scott at World Expeditions on 9486 9899, they cost $25
but I wouldn't just turn up at the Social Sciences Theatre at UWA as
they are selling fast.
Secondly Dave Hancock from Field Touring is organising a shipment of
second hand camping goods to get up into the mountains for the
victims of the Pakistan Earthquake. Mountain Designs central city
stores around Australia are acting as deposit centres for any old
gear you might wish to donate. Dave says they particularly need
tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, fleeces, any warm gear really,
as winter is fast approaching. Qantas is flying the gear for free to
Bangkok and PIA will take it to Pakistan, Dave's local trekking
company operator will then get it up into the mountains to those who
need it most.
Cheers,
Mike Wood
