These things are always so tragic, more so when its a child.

The problem is that these events are unpredictable and often
unavoidable, chances are the boy just bent down to pickup the ball or
something and was bitten.

I guess one thing that may come of this is more education for school
kids as to how to avoid this and also how to deal with it should you
get bitten.
