Dear All
Please find below my walk description for my
April weekend pack carry. This weekend's walk is
a combination of off-track exploratory walking
and track walking. It will involve driving south
Friday night, camping on Mt Pingerup on Friday
night and then exploratory off-track walking
Saturday through to Woolbales campsite on the
Bibbulmun Track. Sunday will be a return walk
along the Bibbulmun Track and Mt Pingerup
Trail. Interested non-Perth Bushwalkers Club
members are welcome. Please contact me directly
to discuss your coming along. If you are
interested and I have not walked with you, please
provide a brief bio of your recent pack carrying
experience. A $5.00 visitors fee is also payable.
Anyway the walk description follows:
APRIL 27 – 29 – PINGERUP WOOLBALES – 34 KM + 100 M
This weekend’s walk 50% exploratory with all day
Saturday walking off-track from Mt Pingerup to
Broke Inlet and then on to the Woolbales Campsite
on the Bibbulmun Track. The plan is to drive
down Friday night, picking up the track to Mt
Pingerup. We will then walk this track, about
3.5 km into our Friday night campsite on the
summit of Mt Pingerup. Saturday will see us
descend the west-face of Mt Pingerup before we
explore the flat lands out towards the coast and
Broke Inlet. From Broke Inlet we will continue
off-track through to Woolbales Campsite. Overall
I anticipate Saturday to be around 15 km
off-track, depending on what sort of conditions we experience.
Sunday will be a leisurely stroll of about 15 km
back to the cars, following the Bibbulmun Track
and the Mt Pingerup Trail. I would expect us
back in Perth early Sunday evening. Interested
walkers need to be comfortable with exploratory
off-track walking. If you want more details on
what this involves please do contact
Andrew. Overall Andrew rates this as a medium
pack carry. To book places please email Andrew

Andrew
