I have organised an overnight trip with Mark and Ralph from this group
at the Mt Cooke hut along the Bibbulmun track on the Sat the 23rd of June.
The plan is to leave my house at about 1:00pm and drive out to a spot
south of the Mt, there we will leave the cars and walk into a spot
where my gps was lost and have a look for it. Once get get bored or
find it we will walk through the bush about 350 mtrs and pick up the
Bib track and walk up to the top of the Mt and stop for a look around
near the very top.
We will then walk down to the hut and get in before dark so as to set
up for the night.
In the morning we will walk back along the track but turn off and head
east along the foot of the Mt and work our way off track back to the car.
I estimate we will walk about 12 kilometers with 50% being off track.
Your welcome to come along but if this is not for you there is some
talk of a day hike in the Kalamunda area searching for Geocaches with
most of that off track.
