Hi
I support Ralph's comment in that you get what you pay for. There is a
reason why the tents are this price.
I would check the weight. Is this the claimed weight? Does it include pegs,
and poles? In other words is this the packed weight as you would carry it?
Are the seams sealed or will you need to do this yourself?
Have a look at the tub, does it come up far enough on the sides to keep rain
out?
Does the fly peg out okay to provide both ventilation and weather
protection? Is there likely to be sufficient ventilation?
What rating is the fly? Will it withstand a summer rain storm or will it
start leaking within minutes as it losses it's water protection.
Just some questions to ask yourself.
As to the Munda Biddi. It is getting increased traffic for sure going by the
logs in the books at the campsites. Whilst I have walked on it I wouldn't
get to excited about doing so for two reasons: (1) It is mainly old forestry
roads which are "road bashing" in walking terms and (2) the single track is
ridden by cyclists who are not expecting walkers so their pace is not
adjusted for same. In fact they may be pushing it for the challenge it
provides. Furthermore you often can't hear cyclists coming so you increase
your risk of being hit.
That said the hut locations, from what I have seen are good and provide a
good water/camp source if off-track walking in the area.
Regards
Andrew

There is the old adage of YGWYPF.
A few of us have walked on the Munda Biddi without seeing a bike rider. At
the moment, the track is vastly underused by the biking fraternity, IMO.
Andrew may correct that. If you want to walk on it, go for it.
