I am currently considering doing a Indipendant study contract to
complete my degree requirements at Murdoch Uni, the topic I wish to pursue
is concerned with the impact of recreational activities on the Bib track.
The study timeframe is to coinside with my planned end to end hike along the
track (summer holidays). This should allow me to complete (by march) an
overveiw of observed impacts, including; data collection, analysis and a
short formal report, highlighting the occurance and level of impacts along
the entire track. I believe that this information may be of great value to
CALM and the friends of Bib track/foundation etc.. in the quest to
continually improve the visitors experience to our states natural areas.
Any assistance, information or ideas which could be benificial to the
completion of this study, would be greatly appriciated. I would enjoy the
chance to talk over this topic of study at some future date, as this would
only enhance the depth of the research.
It is envisioned that this study could provide the beginning
framework for similar research to complete an honours thesis which I intend
to begin next year.
