Hi Andy
Welcome to WA there are quite a few groups around - I am a member of Perth
Bushwalkers www.perthbushwalkers.asn.au and Action Outdoors www.aoa.iinet.au
you can also get their program from most outdoor shops. There is also a
Family Bushwalking Club you can email aariel@... or phone Alex 9470
2707. Also there are many other walking books - the clubs have copies or
your local library should have some. I find it more fun to walk with a
group. You could also if you have the energy tackle the Bibulumum Track
970kms the friends site is linked to the CALM site. Hope this gets you
started - this is the best time of year because of the wildflowers and the
weather - enjoy your walking
Regards
Wendy Freeman

Subject: [Aushiker] New member - Hi!
Hi, My name is Andy Bell. I'm a pretty keen walker - and migrated to
WA from the UK around 18 months ago. I have a partner and a small
baby and am looking for other like-minded souls. I've lived in Norway
(have done Kjerag bolt - a huge granite boulder between two cliffs -
and a challenge for those with vertigo - for those who haven't!). I
like the idea of meeting some new people who also like to get out and
do some exercise on a weekend. I hope this is the place. By the way -
is there a seminal book on walks in WA - or is the CALM 52 walks book
the way to go?
Thanks.
Andy Bell
