Re: [Aushiker] UPDATE: Tests Completed at BGT in March 2004

Hi
Angie and myself have just finished a walk from Walpole (Colamine Caravan
Park) to Northcliffe on the Bibbulmun.
There is no water in the water tank at Maringup Campsite.
The water had been getting foul smelling apparently so Ranger had drained
it.
(Strange the water tank is of a different kind to all the other camp sites -
made of fibre glass.)
Luckily it is by the lake so can get water from there. (Tastes a bit woody
but we made sure it was boiled) We had no adverse affects.
There is no notice about when there will be water in the tank again.
The big tree that was covering the track about 10 mins north of Maringup
when you were there Andrew has since been moved.

At Gardner campsite the pipe from the roof to the tank has been
disconnected. Probably done by the Ranger because the water coming from the
overflow seems to have cause some corrosion as it has been dripping down.
The tank it at least three quarters full so presumably the Ranger will
connect it again when the water level in the tank gets lower.

Regards
Roger
