Re: [Aushiker] Freeze Dri Foods

Hi Ralph,
Don't forget that the Maringup campsite is by the lake so you don't have to
take extra water if you don't want to - just get it from the lake and boil
it. Fires are allowed at that campsite.
Enjoy the walk.
As far as dehydrated food goes we have a Dehydrator and have dehydrated
everthing from Spagetti Bol to fruit. We recently did Walpole to
Northcliffe and left various dehydrated food behind at different sites with
instructions on what to do (eg put in water for a few hrs on arriving at the
campsite etc to ensure it is fully re-hydrated). Anyway enjoy the trip and
I am sure the meals will go down well.

Roger

was very helpful, so we will make contingency plans for extra water to be
taken with us.

add to Dehydrated foods to bulk them up for $10 a kilo factory direct which
seems better value than Back Country whic sells Beef Mince for approx $10
for 160gms. Needless to say I got half a kilo, but will only take a small
portion to use.
