Nadie en los pax00ED;ses libres del mundo entiende qux00E9; implica para los oprimidos en China defender y demandar sus derechos humanos mx00E1;s bx00E1;sicos, bajo el rx00E9;gimen totalitario del partido comunista chino (PCCh). Mientras nosotros tenemos el Estado de derecho, ellos enfrentan el rx00E9;gimen del PCCh sobre sus espaldas dicix00E9;ndoles qux00E9; tienen que hacer, qux00E9; tienen que decir y qux00E9; tienen que creer. Somos practicantes de Falun Gong detenidos en el Campo de Trabajo Forzado de Changlinzi de la ciudad de Harbin, provincia de Heilongjiang. Tenemos las siguientes solicitudes:

Declarar inmediatamente la inocencia del Sr. Li Hongzhi y de Falun Gong.

Mi nombre es Shi Shenghong, actualmente estoy detenido en el Campo de Trabajo Forzado de Changlinzi en la ciudad de Harbin, provincia de Heilongjiang. Por la presente demando que el los lx00ED;deres del PCCh liberen inmediata e incondicionalmente a todos los practicantes de Falun Gong detenidos.

Antes de que el PCCh comenzara a perseguir a los practicantes, yo tenx00ED;a una familia feliz junto a mi esposa Liu Mingyun y mi hijo Shi Yueming. Mi esposa tambix00E9;n practica Falun Gong y fue sentenciada a trabajo forzado en 2000. Debido a la presix00F3;n de esta persecucix00F3;n y el sufrimiento de perder a su nuera, mi madre murix00F3;. Mientras la lucha x00E9;pica se desarrolla en China, el mundo libre ha permanecido a un lado, observando, o aun mirando para otro lado. Ningx00FA;n gobierno ha denunciado formalmente tales violaciones de derechos humanos a gran escala. Por el contrario, en los x00FA;ltimos nueve ax00F1;os, los pax00ED;ses occidentales han aceptado favores econx00F3;micos del rx00E9;gimen chino, y a cambio lo han aprobado tx00E1;citamente al otorgarle a China las Olimpiadas 2008 y una membresx00ED;a para la OMC. Las x00FA;nicas veces en que el rx00E9;gimen chino recibix00F3; una presix00F3;n internacional real fueron cuando los conflictos econx00F3;micos se incrementaron o cuando una situacix00F3;n en China, como la epidemia del SRAS, amenazx00F3; al mundo entero.

Debido al malentendido, o la falta de voluntad para entender, el mundo libre permanece sin conocer el profundo despertar de la conciencia de la gente en China. El consentimiento, la inversix00F3;n financiera y la tecnologx00ED;a de Occidente jugx00F3; en efecto el rol de trabajar contra estos cambios y ayudaron a fortalecerse al rx00E9;gimen y a su represix00F3;n. Algunas empresas occidentales, como Cisco o Yahoo, directamente asistieron al rx00E9;gimen en su opresix00F3;n al pueblo chino.

Debido a la desconfianza, cuando dos testigos, que no practican Falun Gong, revelaron la sistemx00E1;tica sustraccix00F3;n de los x00F3;rganos vitales de practicantes de Falun Gong vivos en un hospital de China, ningx00FA;n gobierno expresx00F3; una preocupacix00F3;n real. The British will attempt to assassinate President-Elect Obama

On November 22 Lyndon LaRouche issued his most emphatic warning to date on the danger of a British-authored assassination of President-elect Barack Obama. Using the occasion of the 45^th anniversary of the British-run assassination of President John F. Kennedy, LaRouche warned that the greatest danger of an assassination of the President-elect would be before the scheduled Jan. 20, 2009 inauguration—while George W. Bush is still the President and while Dick Cheney is still in office as his Vice President.

“The most dangerous and devastating thing that could happen to the United States, and, by extension, to the world as a whole, is an assassination of Barack Obama, while George Bush is still occupying the White House. This means that the greatest danger is the period between today and Jan. 20, 2009, when Barack Obama is to be sworn in as the 44^th President of the United States,” LaRouche declared.

“The opportunity to create the kind of national emergency, from which American democracy would never re-emerge, is too overwhelming for the British to pass up,” LaRouche emphasised. “Look at the global financial disintegration, which has been underway since July 2007, precisely as I warned in my July 25, 2007 webcast. The Anglo-Dutch liberal system of globalisation, free trade, and unfettered speculation is dead. What the British financial oligarchy fears, under these current conditions, more than anything else is an American revival of the policies last seen during the Presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Their hatred of FDR almost matches their hatred of Abraham Lincoln. And the British, as the official record even shows, assassinated President Lincoln.”

LaRouche explained, “Lincoln was just reelected to a second term as President, and the British were horrified at the prospects of what Lincoln would do. The British-sponsored Confederacy was defeated, and they hated everything that Lincoln represented, and everything that Lincoln was now in a position to do, with an industrially developed United States, poised to become a continental republic, with the completion of the Trans-Continental Railroad.”

From the earliest days of our republic, LaRouche explained, “the British have assassinated American republican leaders, beginning with the assassination of former Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton, at the hands of British East India Company traitorous agent Aaron Burr, continuing with the assassination of President Lincoln, President William McKinley, and President John F. Kennedy, 45 years ago today.

“The British know that an assassination of President-elect Obama, while George Bush is still in power, would tear the United States apart, and lay the basis for the kind of lockdown of the system, that would mean the end—after more than 200 years—of our Constitutional Republic. What happened, under Bush and Cheney, following the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on New York City and the Pentagon, gives a taste of the kind of top-down repression that Cheney and his puppet George W. Australia must break with London and support international action against food, fuel speculation

Skyrocketing food and fuel prices are forcing national governments all over the world to take measures to protect the production and supply of essential commodities for the sake of their people’s welfare, over the loud protests of the City of London financiers who insist on total global free trade, with no checks on the commodities speculation that is driving prices up, and bankrupting people.

(To date, Kevin Rudd and Stephen Smith have continued the Howard Government’s policy of unquestioning and enthusiastic support for the City of London’s free trade position, despite the damage oil speculation is doing to Australia’s economy.)

That fight is now coming to a head over the growing international support for the proposal of Italian Finance Minister Giulio Tremonti to take emergency action to shut down commodity speculation, using the European Treaty.

Tremonti is a supporter of American physical economist Lyndon LaRouche’s call for scrapping globalisation and establishing a “New Bretton Woods” regulated international monetary and financial system; Tremonti was described in the July 7 Neue Züercher Zeitung as a “self-declared admirer of French mercantilist Colbert [who] has already called also for a new Bretton Woods and protective tariffs to bring globalisation under control.”

Tremonti has proposed using Article 81 of the European Treaty to:

Intervene through European and American anti-trust authorities against speculation;
Increase the margin requirement on futures trading from 5% to 50%.

His proposal was presented to this week’s Group of Eight meeting in Japan by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who said that the European Treaty provides the EU Commission with “all legal instruments to intervene and block speculation”; it also went before the European Union Economic and Finance Ministers’ meeting in Brussels this week.

His idea has been endorsed by one of the world’s leading finance experts, former US Treasury Secretary in the Clinton Administration, Robert Rubin, who called for “increasing capital margin deposits for futures”, at the Aspen Institute on July 1st. Russian President Dmitri Medvedev has also moved, stressing in interviews at the G8 Summit that “the existing architecture of economic relations among the main participants is inadequate,” twice saying that today’s rampaging inflation crisis stemmed from “markets that are not so well regulated.”

Entrenched opposition to Tremonti’s plan is coming from the City of London, which is the centre of international financial speculation. The international business editor of London’s Daily Telegraph, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, freaked on July 4 that Tremonti’s proposal has France’s backing, and thus could indeed be approved by the European Council, which would badly hurt the City of London. “Article 81 decisions can in theory be pushed through by qualified majority vote, overriding a veto by the British and Irish governments. Any such attempt to restrict the futures and derivatives markets would have a major impact on the City of London and Dublin’s financial industry. It is far from clear whether Britain could muster a blocking alliance in the current anti-market climate.”
