hi guys thanks for the help, i sppoke to them and
they informed me that 4-5 turns wasnt enough, to keep
turning slowely and you will get more boost, there is
also an in line restrictor that stops us from moore
grunt, so i just ran a new hose direct from actuator
then the t peice and the turbo, and **** what a buzz,
this thing is on steroids.

thanks again for

I'd suggest you go to the Turbosmart website
(www.turbosmart.com.au) and download the instructions. You may have
missed something or the device may be defective. Good
luck.

Rob
Sydney
1990 MX-6 GT
If you want the adaptor plate like I said before
I got mine from Outlaw speed shop in Adelaide. But
you cannot find it under MX6, you need to search
under Ford Telstar Turbo amongst the adaptors..
Unfortunately there is no part number.

Good luck if you
want any more assistance you can email me at

Hey dude! I also tried to get an adaptor plate
for my baby, but, you sorta cant get one! K&N dont
make one for our vehicle. Your best bet is to buy a
Rampod kit, with the filter etc etc, and make some
plumbing to the air flow metre. I purchased a Simota Pod
filter(for the noise, Kookaburra, cookie monster!) and made
my own adapter plate out of chequer plate for the
Air flow metre. Its extremely easy to do!! I will get
pics an post em for everybody to see. I would like to
also say, that if your after performance, you best
sticking, with the orignal box, with a K&N flat filter( the
stocko will even do the job!) and plumbing at least 3
inch cold air ducting to the front of the car. I'll
garantee it will work far better than the POD filter. Just
with the standard airbox config, K&N filter, and 3
inch cold air duct(which splits into two at the
begining, for twice the amount of airflow), Im pulling an
easy consistent 10 psi. Thats a major diff to the
stock 7 psi!!! with little money outlay, and effort!!!!
Hi Guys I'm new to this Board, I love my MX6, but
I hate the support I'm NOT getting as far as
getting and installing a RAMPOD, I've tried many posts
but only get half-arsed answers (even from other
MX6ers). ALl I want to know is where can I get a RAMPOD
and the adapter plate (K&N or UNIFilter, etc) in
Melbourne, surely some of you guys have done this mod to
your cars. Any help appreciated - if you got a RAMPOD,
who installed it for you, where did you get the
adapter plate and what does it cost all up.
another great day for sure. that chiptorque 626
turbo was fairly fast posting a 13.9. also saw an mx6
with R33 GTS wheels on it. didn't look too bad!! pity
i couldn't take my car. had to settle for mums

Hello. My master and slave clucth cylinder had
died this morning. It was first the slave cylinder,
and then straight after the master cylinder! But it
did do it at a convienient location, up the backyard
under cover, instead of on the side off the road!
Hello! Has anybody got a stock BOV? Mine sorta
broke, im conducting experiments, and i sorta broke

better option, last's about 3 months. But can also give

I Think Its time that all the Brisbane boys
should meet up!? How about it? Anyone interested?? The
meeting place will be at Mount Cootha On a saturday
night(No date made yet). Early evening, so that we can all
meet up, then all cruise and do the coast run. Anyone
interested?? Lets hear suggestions!!
Depending on what type of noise, how loud you
want etc etc depends on what you call a good blow off
valve. The big names such as Turbosmart, Blitz, HKS,
Turbomaster all make a variety of B.O.V's. Just remember to
not get one that is to small for the car! eg, one
that is set at lower boost than what you are
running!!! There are also cheaper B.O.V's such as Bosh which
can be bought from Autobarn etc etc, which will
perform aswell. I must say though, that the oringinal
B.O.V. is just as effiecient as the high dollar
pieces!!!!
Hey folks. I own a 1990 MX-6. Had it for a couple
years now (including approx 10 months off the road ).
Fair few mods with more to come. By the way is there
an official Australian MX-6 club? If so could
someone post the details. If not, maybe it's time for one
:)
Maybe if you try one of the performance shops,
the should have a variety of fittings etc
etc...
What intake are you lookin at? Im only using duct
piping (3 inch), but i have to still get the connection
from the pipe to the air box. Hope this helps
I have a sapphire blue 4WS 1989 built MX-6.
Currently studying in Brisbane, but live between Sydney and
Brisbane and Noosa!

Let me know what you guys
do.

Check out some of my posts on www.autospeed.com (in the
turbo forums section). Car is stock standard from
factory, but I am considering selling it (as it has an
auto) and purchase either an R33 Skyline or a G022 MX-6
(1990-1991) with a manual TX and do some performance mods to
it!

Stasio=)
Hello guys, If just put up a photo of a mates car and mine. Its only one photo

Hello everyone!! This club is open invitation to
any mazda owner, but in particular the mazda
mx6.
Everybody is welcome to join, so dont hesitate! It doesnt
matter if you own an mx6, or are interested, where all
here to enjoy the company of other mx6 owners! The
idea of this club, is to have car cruises on a regular
basis. To show off each others cars and just have a
great time aswell!!
