I maybe should have hung around Green Square a bit longer, but was
worried that I'd inadvertently gone to the wrong spot and was missing
all the excitement.
So I went to "Beyond Q" bookshop in Curtin, and honestly, they brought
out the champagne and caviar.
The bookshop has the same lovely people running the show as I
remember, but now they have a cafe area with tables. Semi-licensed,
meaning facilities for drinks. Espresso coffee. Pastries to die for.
And lots of books. Good books.
Open 7am to 6pm.
I was absolutely charmed solid. A perfect place for a gathering,
though leaving free books behind in a bookshop isn't a good idea.
Jenni mentioned that any BookCrossing books that came in - people come
in with boxes of books to sell and sometimes there are registered
books in the box - she would take in and leave at Starbucks in the
city.
We should make it a regular monthly meeting.
