That'll be great! I've been wanting to meet you all for a while.
There'll be two of us - me and countdebeans coming in from Bungendore.
I'll look for the table with the pile of books! hehe ;-)

Ok all, let's get started - how about 3pm this Saturday at King O'Malleys,
perhaps in the front section away from the bar where it tends to not be too
noisy. If this venue works for everyone we can try to meet up once a month; if
the venue's no good we can try somewhere else next time (perhaps a location with

If we can get an indication of who might come so those who arrive first can keep
an eye out for everyone (I assume most of us have met at some point?) that would
be great.

See you all there!

Hope you can all get together - health restrictions (I'm on crutches) and work commitments make it too difficult for me to do much extra at the moment, unfortunately.

Cheers,

Saturdays work for me - I drive a taxi weeknights. It would be good to
get back to meeting up again. So long as the meeting place isn't too
noisy. I've got a bunch of books from the Edinburgh convention that
need to be passed on, including, appropriately enough, several Rebus
books.

Do people have a preference for when? Evenings tend to be tricky work and
family-wise for some, but others don't like to encroach on weekends. What about
a Saturday mid-afternoon for our first and we can take it from there? Nice time
to share a pint and a chat to kickstart weekend festivities :) I'm free this
Saturday if others are up to it.

Hmmm, I would also like to revive my BC activities - there is a pile of
registered books that the Terrible Toddler is using as a means to get to high
places, which I have been meaning to release for ages.

Weekends are better for me -> evenings are just too exhausting at the moment.

We could also meet at the cafe in the Botanical Gardens once the weather
improves :-)

Cheers,

Thanks Mel - well, apart from working 10-12 hours almost every day of the week, I am going well (if very tired). I'm on schedule ... I even have a real listing on Wiley's site now (http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-0470453664.html) - how's that for confidence? You can buy the book and it's still not written yet! Cover is being designed this week  :)

Well there doesn't seem to be heaps of enthusiasm.

Curtin isn't easy for me to get to, but I possibly could this week.

Simon and Jenny - are you open or closed tomorrow (Tuesday)?

Lyn.

Hi all!

Exciting news!

We have been holding off our official opening until our Café and Bar have been completed and issued with a license to trade.

But now you’re invited to our official

drinks and light refreshments provided

In other developments…

from this Saturday the 1st until Friday the 7th of November ALL MAGAZINES are 50% off. There are huge numbers of photographic journals, from the 1920s including some with early aboriginal pictures, fascinating, classic hobby magazines, delights in all modes of transport including planes, trains and automobiles.

All books in the RELIGION and COOKING sections are also 50% off.

And this Saturday the 1st from 2pm to 4:30ish we’ll also have acoustic guitarist, Mick while on Sunday the 2nd from 2pm to 4:30ish we have vocalist Alkeiya.

Admission is free and we have a container for gold coin donations for the musos - the ultimate form of feedback!

For those of you still living in the 󈦦s (I wish) our Vinyl collection has recently been refreshed with an additional 50% to look through.

If you have wondered about the mysterious middle room this will be our antiquarian room with very special and rare delights – including a 1653 copy of Nicholas Culpeper’s Pharmacopoeia Londinensis which is Jenni’s love and Simon’s superannuation. Books include handwritten Orders to Lord Raglan during the Charge of the Light Brigade dated 1854 and a bunch of other material. Bring your cotton gloves, your credit card and a sense of humour!
