That'll be great! I've been wanting to meet you all for a while.
There'll be two of us - me and countdebeans coming in from Bungendore.
I'll look for the table with the pile of books! hehe ;-)

Ok all, let's get started - how about 3pm this Saturday at King O'Malleys,
perhaps in the front section away from the bar where it tends to not be too
noisy. If this venue works for everyone we can try to meet up once a month; if

See you all there!

Hope you can all get together - health restrictions (I'm on crutches) and work commitments make it too difficult for me to do much extra at the moment, unfortunately.

Saturdays work for me - I drive a taxi weeknights. It would be good to
get back to meeting up again. So long as the meeting place isn't too
noisy. I've got a bunch of books from the Edinburgh convention that
need to be passed on, including, appropriately enough, several Rebus
books.

Or the Wig & Pen? Nice and cosy and usually happy for groups to meet. Nice to
support a local business rather than a franchise-type like PJ's. Although
O'Malley's is fine too, and close to the interchange for those who need to
bus-it.
Do people have a preference for when? Evenings tend to be tricky work and
family-wise for some, but others don't like to encroach on weekends. What about
a Saturday mid-afternoon for our first and we can take it from there? Nice time
to share a pint and a chat to kickstart weekend festivities :) I'm free this
Saturday if others are up to it.

Hmmm, I would also like to revive my BC activities - there is a pile of
registered books that the Terrible Toddler is using as a means to get to high
places, which I have been meaning to release for ages.
Weekends are better for me -> evenings are just too exhausting at the moment.
We could also meet at the cafe in the Botanical Gardens once the weather
improves :-)
Cheers,

Maybe we should think of a fairly central meeting place first time, as some come by bus and it made it difficult for them when we were thinking of Curtin.
Any preferences / suggestions?

Sorry, still writing the book (deadline for the main submission is Monday, then I've got a month of editing) ... not available for anything social or fun. I'm on Amazon, though, which is kinda cool!

Sadly that's even worse for me! One exam is Friday afternoon the other is a Saturday take home... then I get to enjoy my friend's wedding on Sunday content in the fact that I can now graduate!!!
Have fun without me - if you let me know the venue and time I might be able to drop off some books.

Thanks Mel - well, apart from working 10-12 hours almost every day of the week, I am going well (if very tired). I'm on schedule ... I even have a real listing on Wiley's site now (http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-0470453664.html) - how's that for confidence? You can buy the book and it's still not written yet! Cover is being designed this week :)
Sorry ladies and gents, but I'll be doing the race thing in between
getting ready for my exams this week.
Try not to work too hard Denise - hope it's all going well.

Curtin isn't easy for me to get to, but I possibly could this week.
