I had a post from awaywithfairies from Sydney

so she's going to come to our next BC meet-up at King O'malley's on Sat 26th!!
cool!
she also reminded me that that weekend is the Lifeline BookFair also!
yay!

I too greatly enjoyed the meet-up last Saturday. It's always great to catch up with Skyring and it's good to meet new Bookcrossers. Really good company, so much to talk about with shared interests and the time just flew.
Now we have managed to get it happening again I'm looking forward to 26th September, and hope more of you will be able to make it next time.

Books, BookCrossers, pear cider and a seat by the fire. It just
doesn't get any better!
The time just sipped away. Good to see (and hug) Hotfrog again, and to
say hello to Elddau1 and countdebeans. O'Malley's of a Saturday arvo
is very pleasant and relaxed. There's even, we discovered, a back room
lined with books, out of the general way and very appropriate.

Hi all
I'm afraid I too have been caught up with things today and just realised the
time!
Sorry to have missed you all, I hope some of you were able to make it and catch
up. Would be great to hear how things went and get opinions on time and venue
so we can plan ahead for next month (and maybe a regular time?).
Mel
I'm afraid I've got caught up with family commitements, so I won't be able to
get there this time.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, so hope I to make it next time, after
footy season finishes it will be easier for me.
Have a great time, I'm there with you all in spirit.
Happy Bookcrossing.

Hope you can all get together - health restrictions (I'm on crutches) and work commitments make it too difficult for me to do much extra at the moment, unfortunately.

Saturdays work for me - I drive a taxi weeknights. It would be good to
get back to meeting up again. So long as the meeting place isn't too
noisy. I've got a bunch of books from the Edinburgh convention that
need to be passed on, including, appropriately enough, several Rebus
books.

Or the Wig & Pen? Nice and cosy and usually happy for groups to meet. Nice to
support a local business rather than a franchise-type like PJ's. Although
O'Malley's is fine too, and close to the interchange for those who need to
bus-it.
Do people have a preference for when? Evenings tend to be tricky work and
family-wise for some, but others don't like to encroach on weekends. What about
a Saturday mid-afternoon for our first and we can take it from there? Nice time
to share a pint and a chat to kickstart weekend festivities :) I'm free this
Saturday if others are up to it.

Hmmm, I would also like to revive my BC activities - there is a pile of
registered books that the Terrible Toddler is using as a means to get to high
places, which I have been meaning to release for ages.
Weekends are better for me -> evenings are just too exhausting at the moment.
We could also meet at the cafe in the Botanical Gardens once the weather
improves :-)
