What has happened to the nod?

Up until just a few months ago If I nodded to a fellow rider i lamost always
got a nod back, even from some harley riders with the hardcore look. But lately
very few people nod back. In fact you can pull up at the lights next to another
rider and there's a reasonable chance they will act like you arent even there.

Whats going on?

Sean

What is the 'standard' signal for police/speed trap ahead ? Do you use 'patting the dog on the head' (slow down) or the 'cowboy spinning lasso above head' (...

"Patting the dog on the head" very good description, never heard it before. What about the "spanking the monkey" gesture, when a nod isn't returned..lol ...

The nod does appear to be fading away, except for those old faithfuls. I always give the nod or wave, but at times I must admit that I have missed the odd nod...
