Your best bet is to write a letter pointing out your unblemished
driving/riding record and explaining (courteously and intelligently)
that you believe that you gave way and pulled out in a safe manner.
Do not be aggresive, dont claim discrimination, etc. Just explain
the facts as you see them, ask them to take your record into account
and ask them to let you off with a warning.
If you take it to court you will have to PROVE you gave way. Because
the police officer(s) will state that in their PROFESSIONAL opinion
you did not. I dont like youre chances there.
