Re: Fw: Details of Bathurst 2007   Message List

When I first saw the title for this I was excited at the possibility of once
again adding Bathurst to my return to racing plans for next year. Then I was
shattered that the bikes that made Bathurst were not attending. Having raced
there half a dozen times I have experienced the rush of holding on for over a
mile @ 16,000rpm down Conrod hoping the engine would hold up till the
start/finish straight, not to mention the hope that my pants would stay clean. I
have seen fellow racers become part of the tragedy and awe that is Bathurst.

In talking with an old friend & rival who/is will be racing in the New Era
class next year I thought this was tops. Not to take any credit from the stunt
guys or the FMX, I long for the rush off coming out of McPhilamy(?) park across
skyline in 3rd gear redlined doing about 200kph and all you can see is Lithgow
in the distance. Ah the memories!
